Pixfra Chiron C425

• 384x288 thermal sensor with 12 μm pixel pitch: Delivers a useful balance of image detail, field coverage, and manageable base magnification, making it well suited to scanning and shooting at typical hunting distances.
• 20 mK NETD sensitivity: Helps the scope separate subtle temperature differences, so animals and other heat sources stand out more clearly in humid air, light cover, or low-contrast conditions.
• 25 mm F1.0 objective and 1300 m detection range: Combines strong thermal intake with long detection capability, giving the user more time to identify movement and assess the scene before closing distance.
• 1440x1080 OLED display: Presents the thermal image with crisp contrast and a clean viewing experience, which makes observation less fatiguing during longer sessions and supports more precise shot placement.
• Compact 593 g housing with WiFi, recording, and 8 h battery life: Keeps the riflescope practical on a hunting rifle while adding image capture, video recording, and wireless connectivity for documenting and reviewing outings.

About the Pixfra Chiron Series

Pixfra Chiron is the company’s thermal riflescope family for users who want a dedicated sighting solution rather than a handheld viewer or clip-on device. In Pixfra’s current catalog, the line sits alongside the Chiron LRF series, with the standard Chiron models focusing on streamlined thermal aiming while the LRF versions add a laser rangefinder and ballistic calculator. The series is intended for hunting and outdoor exploration, where dependable thermal detection, simple controls, and recoil resistance matter more than unnecessary complexity.

Across the range, Chiron models use 12 μm vanadium oxide uncooled focal plane detectors and are offered in both 384 × 288 and 640 × 512 sensor classes, allowing users to choose between a more accessible configuration and higher native image detail. Pixfra also builds the series around a rotary-knob menu control, which makes operation more direct in the dark or with gloves. Another defining element is Pixfra’s PIPS image-processing solution, designed to keep image latency below 20 ms for a more immediate view when tracking moving game. Chiron scopes also support recoil-activated recording, reinforcing the series’ role as a practical thermal hunting optic rather than a purely observational device.

About the Pixfra Chiron C425

The Pixfra Chiron C425 is a compact thermal riflescope built around a 384x288 VOx uncooled sensor, 12.00 μm pixel pitch, and a 25.00 mm F1.0 objective. This combination gives the scope a practical balance between scene coverage and target detail. With a 2.11 x base magnification and a wide 11.00 ° field of view, the C425 is well suited to shorter and medium engagement distances where rapid target acquisition matters as much as image clarity. Its 1300.00 m detection range also gives the user enough reach to pick up heat signatures well before they enter shooting distance.

A key strength of this model is its image quality in difficult conditions. The 20.00 mK NETD rating helps the sensor resolve fine thermal differences, which is especially useful when animals do not strongly separate from the background. The 50.00 Hz refresh rate supports smoother tracking of moving targets, while the 1440x1080 OLED display provides a sharp, high-contrast image that is easy to interpret during prolonged observation. The multi-reticle setup adds flexibility for different shooting preferences without overcomplicating the interface.

In practical use, the C425 is designed to stay manageable on the rifle. Its 593.00 g weight and 213.40 mm length keep the setup compact, while the 44.00 mm eye relief supports safe and consistent shooting positions. WiFi connectivity, image capture, video recording, and video output expand the scope’s usefulness beyond the shot itself, and the 18650 power system with 8.00 h battery life supports longer sessions in the field. Waterproof and fogproof construction, together with an operating range of -30°C to +55°C, make it suitable for demanding weather and seasonal use.

About Pixfra

Pixfra is the outdoor brand of Zhejiang Pixfra Technology Co., Ltd., based in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China. The company develops thermal imaging modules, cores, outdoor products, cameras, and related solutions, which gives it a strong technical base in the thermal imaging category rather than a general sporting-optics background. Its outdoor range includes thermal monoculars, thermal scopes, thermal front attachments, multispectral binoculars, and digital day-and-night scopes, showing a clear focus on observation and aiming products for low-light and no-light use.

Within that lineup, Pixfra identifies hunting, outdoor exploration, and animal observation as core applications for its devices. The brand also uses proprietary technologies such as PIPS 2.0 image processing in its outdoor range, reflecting an emphasis on image handling and responsive viewing. Product families such as Mile, Arc, and Chiron show that Pixfra structures its catalog around distinct use cases, from handheld thermal observation to dedicated thermal riflescopes.
