Burris Scout 2-7x32

• Extended eye relief: The forward-mount scout layout gives 233.00–304.80 mm of eye relief, helping the shooter keep better awareness around the rifle and making fast, both-eyes-open target acquisition more natural.
• 2-7x variable magnification: The 2.00x to 7.00x range covers quick shots at short distance and adds enough magnification for more deliberate aiming at mid-range, so one scope suits the classic scout-rifle role well.
• Compact 1-inch construction: With a 25.4 mm tube, 246.00 mm length, and 368.50 g weight, this scope keeps a rifle trim and well balanced, which matters on handy field carbines carried for long periods.
• Fully multicoated optics: The fully multicoated lens system improves light transmission and contrast, giving a clearer sight picture in mixed light and helping the reticle stand out against darker backgrounds.
• Field-ready durability: Waterproof, fogproof, and shockproof construction with a nitrogen-filled tube helps the scope stay reliable through weather changes, recoil, and hard use in hunting conditions.

About the Burris Scout Series

The Burris Scout series traces back to 1988 and was built specifically for the scout-rifle concept. These scopes use a compact 1-inch body tube and are intended for forward mounting ahead of the ejection port, a layout that supports the fast-handling character of scout rifles while preserving access to the action. That mounting position also works with the series’ extended eye relief, making both-eyes-open shooting more practical when tracking moving game or transitioning quickly between targets.

Within the Burris lineup, the Scout family fills a focused role for close- to mid-range hunting and general-purpose field use. The series combines Hi-Lume multicoated optics, nitrogen-filled tubes, and a waterproof build in a format that stays slim and easy to mount on lightweight rifles. Burris has offered the line in both fixed-power and variable-power versions, with Heavy Plex and Ballistic Plex reticle options depending on the model. The result is a riflescope family designed less around bench shooting and more around speed, awareness, and practical field handling.

About the Burris Scout 2-7x32

The Burris Scout 2-7x32 is the variable-power model in the series, built for shooters who want the scout-rifle handling concept without giving up flexibility. At 2.00x, it remains quick to acquire at short distance and works well for snap shots on moving game. Turning up to 7.00x gives a more precise aiming view for small targets or careful shot placement at longer practical hunting distances. That wider operating range makes this model especially useful on a general-purpose rifle that may be carried in thick cover one day and used across more open ground the next.

The scope uses a 32.00 mm objective lens with a fully multicoated optical system, balancing light-gathering ability with the compact proportions expected from a scout optic. Its second focal plane reticle keeps the reticle appearance consistent through the zoom range, which many hunters prefer because the aiming pattern stays easy to see at low power. The official model is offered with the Ballistic Plex™ reticle, giving simple holdover references without cluttering the sight picture.

Mechanically, this riflescope stays true to the practical scout theme. Capped turrets protect adjustments from accidental movement while the rifle is carried, and the fixed parallax at 100 m keeps operation straightforward in the field. The fast-focus eyepiece helps the shooter sharpen the reticle quickly, while the long eye relief and compact 246.00 mm length make forward mounting easier on scout-style rifles.

About Burris

Burris was founded in 1971 and took its name from founder Don Burris. The company is headquartered in Greeley, Colorado, United States, and focuses on sporting optics and mounting solutions, including hunting and tactical riflescopes, red-dot and reflex sights, binoculars, spotting scopes, rangefinders, thermal optics, rings, and mounts. Burris became part of Beretta Holdings in 2002, and over the years it has introduced several notable products and technologies relevant to this category.

For riflescope users, Burris is particularly known for practical field-oriented designs such as the Ballistic Plex trajectory-compensating reticle, introduced in 2000. The company later expanded its profile with products such as the FastFire mini red-dot reflex sight in 2007 and the Eliminator riflescope with integrated laser rangefinding and automatic bullet-drop compensation in 2010. That background helps explain Burris’ reputation for building optics that emphasize usable reticle systems, straightforward mechanics, and real hunting application.
