ZeroTech Thrive 8x42

• 8x42 configuration: The 8x magnification gives a steady, easy-to-hold view, while the 42 mm objective lenses gather enough light for dawn, dusk, woodland and overcast conditions.
• Wide field of view: A field of view of 110.25 m/1000m helps track moving game, birds and other wildlife more naturally, with less time spent searching for the subject.
• 17.50 mm eye relief: The generous eye relief supports comfortable extended glassing and makes the binocular easier to use for eyeglass wearers.
• Fully multicoated optics: Fully multicoated lenses improve light transmission and contrast, helping deliver a clearer, brighter image with less distracting glare in mixed light.
• Waterproof, fogproof build: The sealed construction and protective rubber exterior make the binocular better suited to wet weather, temperature changes and regular field use.

About the ZeroTech Thrive Series

ZeroTech Thrive sits in the brand’s core sporting optics range and is aimed at outdoor enthusiasts who want practical field performance without moving into the more specialised HD models. In the binocular line, the series covers popular all-round configurations including 8x32, 10x32, 8x42 and 10x42, giving users options for compact carry or improved low-light capability.

The series is built around a straightforward design philosophy: dependable optics, simple handling and weather-ready construction for hunting, bird watching and general observation. ZeroTech positions Thrive binoculars as rugged everyday tools, with fully multi-coated lenses, a protective rubber-armoured exterior and waterproof construction for use in changing conditions. Related Thrive HD models add extra-low-dispersion glass and dielectric-coated prisms, while the standard Thrive line focuses on accessible, versatile performance for users who value a balanced specification and uncomplicated operation.

About the ZeroTech Thrive 8x42

The ZeroTech Thrive 8x42 is the classic all-purpose binocular in the range, combining a practical 8x magnification with 42.00 mm objective lenses for a balance of reach, brightness and steadiness. This format works especially well for hunting optics and bird watching binoculars because it gives enough magnification to identify detail at distance without becoming difficult to hold during longer observation sessions. The 5.25 mm exit pupil also helps maintain a bright, relaxed view in lower light, which is useful at first and last light when animals are often most active.

Its 110.25 m/1000m field of view supports scanning and following movement across open ground, woodland edges and wetland habitats. A central focusing system keeps adjustments quick and intuitive, while the right-eye diopter adjustment with a -3 / +3 dpt range helps fine-tune the image to the user’s eyesight. The 17.50 mm eye relief adds comfort over extended use and improves usability for those wearing glasses.

In daily handling, the single-hinge body and rubber exterior keep the binocular easy to grip and carry. Fully multicoated lenses support contrast and image clarity, while the waterproof and fogproof construction makes the Thrive 8x42 a sensible choice for field use in damp weather, cold mornings and changing temperatures.

About ZeroTech

ZeroTech Optics was founded in Australia in 2018 by Tasco Sales (AUST) Pty Ltd. The company focuses on sporting optics for hunters, shooters and outdoor users, with a catalogue that includes riflescopes, spotting scopes, binoculars and reflex sights. Its product families include Vengeance, Thrive and Trace, covering a broad spread of field and shooting applications.

ZeroTech states that its Australian team designs, engineers and quality-assures its riflescopes, reflecting a product approach centred on practical field use rather than purely catalogue specifications. The brand also uses its own reticle designs and turret systems in its shooting optics. In 2020, ZeroTech established a United States base and expanded its international distribution, building a wider presence in the sport optics market while keeping its focus on dependable equipment for real outdoor use.
