Vector Optics Sentinel 6-24x50 SFP GenII Product description

  • 6-24x magnification range: Covers the gap from precise zeroing and small-target work to longer-range target shooting, so the scope stays useful across rimfire, PCP air rifle and benchrest setups.
  • Second focal plane reticle: The reticle keeps the same apparent size through the zoom range, which makes the sight picture less cluttered at high magnification and easier to see against small targets.
  • 50 mm objective with fully multi-coated lenses: The large front lens and coatings help maintain a bright, clear image and better contrast, especially when shooting in overcast light or on shaded ranges.
  • 30 mm tube with 14 mrad adjustment range: The larger tube provides practical elevation and windage travel for dialing corrections, while keeping the scope compatible with common 30 mm rings.
  • Nitrogen-filled, waterproof and fogproof build: The sealed construction helps the scope stay clear through temperature changes, damp weather and regular field transport, reducing interruptions during use.

About the Vector Optics Sentinel Series

Vector Optics Sentinel sits in the brand’s Entry Level range, but it is aimed at shooters who still need the core features expected from a serious target scope. The series is built around long-range target shooting, benchrest competition, PCP air rifles and general range use, so the emphasis is on usable magnification, clear aiming references and stable mechanical construction rather than stripped-down basic optics. Across the line, Vector Optics offers both second focal plane and first focal plane versions, allowing shooters to choose between a constant reticle appearance or scale-correct holdovers at changing magnification.

A defining feature of the series is its use of high-definition lanthanum lenses together with fully multi-coated optics, which are intended to improve contrast and keep the image crisp enough for small targets and precise shot placement. Sentinel scopes also use fogproof construction and the series is listed with IPX4 water resistance, making them suitable for regular outdoor use in changeable weather. Within the family, there are specialized variants such as the Sentinel-X benchrest model with a reticle tailored to 25-meter targets, while current Sentinel GenII models continue the line with updated configurations for practical precision shooting.

About the Vector Optics Sentinel 6-24x50 SFP GenII

The Vector Optics Sentinel 6-24x50 SFP GenII is configured as a practical high-magnification riflescope for shooters who spend most of their time on paper, steel, pest-control rifles or precision airgun setups. Its 6-24x zoom range gives enough flexibility for closer zeroing and load development at the low end, while the upper end provides the image scale needed for careful shot placement on small targets at longer distances. Paired with a 50.00 mm objective, the scope is designed to keep the sight picture usable as magnification rises, which matters when fine target detail starts to disappear in poor light or heavy mirage.

The second focal plane reticle keeps a constant visual size throughout the zoom range. In practice, that makes the reticle easier to pick up quickly and less intrusive over small aiming marks than some first focal plane designs at high power. The optical system uses fully multicoated lenses, helping preserve contrast and reduce distracting reflections on bright ranges. Eye relief from 80.00 mm to 100.00 mm gives some flexibility in mounting position and shooting posture, whether the scope is fitted to a rimfire trainer or a heavier centerfire rifle.

Mechanically, the scope uses a 30 mm tube with 14.00 mrad of elevation and windage travel, giving useful adjustment room for dialing corrections. The capped turrets suit shooters who prefer a cleaner profile and extra protection against accidental movement during transport. At 385.00 mm and 755.00 g, it is a full-size target optic, and the nitrogen-filled, waterproof, fogproof and shockproof construction supports regular outdoor use without making the scope overly delicate.

About Vector Optics

Vector Optics was founded in 2007 by Xusheng Shen in Shanghai, China. The company began under the name Sunclear before adopting the Vector Optics brand, and it has grown around a broad catalog of shooting and outdoor optics rather than a single niche. Its product range includes riflescopes, red-dot sights, binoculars, spotting scopes and rangefinders, with lines aimed at hunting, competitive shooting, tactical use and general outdoor applications.

Within riflescopes, the brand organizes its lineup into distinct families such as Continental and Tauron, while also operating the VictOptics sub-brand, registered in 2018. Selected Continental models use Schott HD or ED glass and VePRO fully multi-coated lenses, showing that the company’s catalog spans from accessible entry-level optics to more advanced designs. That broad product structure is relevant to the Sentinel series, which reflects Vector Optics’ focus on practical features and category-specific configurations for target and field shooting.
