Vector Optics Meteor

• Compact pistol-ready format: The short 79.00 mm body keeps the light easy to fit on a handgun without adding unnecessary bulk at the muzzle, helping preserve balance and fast handling.
• 200.00 lumen LED output: This level of illumination is suited to close-range target identification and navigation in low light, giving a clear view of immediate surroundings without moving to a larger weapon light.
• Aluminium housing: The metal body adds the rigidity needed for regular mounted use, while keeping weight to 90.00 g for a practical balance between durability and carry comfort.
• Quick-release mount base: The mounting system allows faster installation and removal on a pistol platform, which is useful when switching setups or transporting the firearm.
• Fogproof, shockproof and waterproof construction: These protective features help the light stay dependable in rain, recoil and changing temperatures, making it better suited to field and range use than a basic utility light.

About the Meteor Series

The Meteor series sits in the practical end of the Vector Optics lighting range, focusing on compact weapon lights for shooters who need a straightforward rail-mounted solution rather than a large tactical lamp. In this series, the emphasis is on short overall length, simple controls and a build that can tolerate recoil, weather and regular handling on a handgun platform. That makes the line relevant for range use, training and general low-light firearm setup where compact size matters as much as output.

Rather than adding extra complexity, Meteor models are built around a durable LED light head, an aluminium body and a mounting arrangement intended for pistol use. The series is defined by its compact footprint and by features that support real firearm use, such as shock-resistant construction and weather protection. For shooters looking at mounted lights from an optics brand better known for sights and scopes, the Meteor line extends the same practical design approach into illumination accessories.

About the Vector Optics Meteor

The Vector Optics Meteor is a short weapon light built specifically as a pistol flashlight, so its main advantage is keeping the setup compact while still adding useful low-light capability. With 200.00 lumen LED output, it is intended for close-range illumination where the priority is identifying targets, reading the immediate environment and working around cover or confined spaces. That output level suits a handgun-mounted light that needs to remain small and manageable rather than oversized.

Its 79.00 mm length and 90.00 g weight help the light stay proportionate on a pistol frame, reducing the penalty in front-end weight and helping maintain natural presentation. The aluminium housing adds the stiffness needed for mounted use, while the fogproof, shockproof and waterproof construction supports reliability in poor weather and under recoil. Vector Optics also designed this model for real firearm calibers, which is an important practical point for a mounted light expected to stay zeroed in position and continue functioning after repeated firing.

The Meteor runs on a CR123 battery and offers 2.00 h of battery life, a sensible setup for a compact light where easy battery sourcing and a simple power system matter. Its quick-release mount base also makes the light easier to attach or remove when changing between storage, transport and live-fire use.

About Vector Optics

Vector Optics was founded in 2007 by Xusheng Shen in Shanghai, China. The company develops optics for hunting, competitive shooting, tactical use and outdoor activities, with a product range that includes riflescopes, red-dot sights, binoculars, spotting scopes and rangefinders. This broad catalog shows the brand’s focus on practical shooting and observation equipment rather than on a single niche.

The company began under the name Sunclear before adopting the Vector Optics brand name, and it later registered the VictOptics sub-brand in 2018. Within its optics lineup, product families such as Continental and Tauron are especially well known. That background is relevant here because it places the Meteor within a manufacturer experienced in building field-oriented shooting accessories with an emphasis on functional design and accessible performance.
