Talley 35 mm Picatinny Rings Product description

  • 35 mm scope fit: Built for scopes with a 35 mm main tube, these rings provide the correct interface for larger tactical and long-range optics without improvised inserts or adapters.
  • Picatinny compatibility: The ring design mounts to a Picatinny rail, making it easy to pair the optic with rifles that already use this common mounting standard and simplifying cross-platform setup.
  • Steel construction: A steel body gives the rings the rigidity and wear resistance needed for hard use, helping the optic stay secure under recoil and repeated handling.
  • Fixed ring design: As a fixed mount, this setup favors a solid, straightforward attachment with fewer moving parts, which suits rifles kept in a dedicated optic configuration.
  • Made in USA: Manufactured in the USA, these rings reflect Talley’s focus on domestic machining and scope-mounting products for shooters who want established support and consistent production standards.

About the Talley Rings Series

Talley Rings cover a broad part of the company’s scope-mount catalog, with models for fixed, quick-detachable, screw-lock detachable, Picatinny, dovetail, and modern sporting applications. The series has been established for more than 40 years, and it is aimed at sportsmen who need ring systems matched to different rifles, bases, and optic tube diameters rather than a one-pattern solution.

Within the family, Talley offers versions for different tube sizes and ring heights, so the same series can support everything from compact hunting optics to larger tactical scopes. Compatibility depends on the specific model: some rings are made for Talley bases, others for Picatinny rails, and others for firearm-specific dovetail interfaces. That variety is one of the defining traits of the line. Instead of treating rings as generic accessories, Talley builds the series around the mounting standard and the way the rifle will actually be used in the field.

About the Talley 35 mm Picatinny Rings

Talley 35 mm Picatinny Rings are a straightforward solution for mounting a 35 mm riflescope on a rifle equipped with a Picatinny rail. That combination makes them especially relevant for larger modern optics often chosen for precision shooting, long-range work, or rifles set up with heavier-featured scopes that use a 35 mm main tube. By matching the tube diameter correctly, the rings support proper clamping and alignment without forcing a compromise in the mounting setup.

The use of steel is central to how these rings are meant to perform. Steel construction brings stiffness and durability to a part of the rifle that has one job above all else: keeping the optic stable. In practice, that matters when the rifle is carried regularly, fired repeatedly, or exposed to rough handling during transport and field use. A solid ring body helps maintain the relationship between scope and rail, which is the basis for consistent zero retention.

Because this is a fixed mount design, the emphasis is on a secure, dedicated installation rather than rapid removal. That suits shooters who want a dependable mount left in place once the optic is leveled and torqued correctly. For rifles built around the Picatinny standard, these Talley rings offer a simple, robust way to pair a 35 mm scope with a stable steel mounting interface.

About Talley

Talley Manufacturing, Inc. is based in Santee, South Carolina, United States, and the company focuses on scope rings and firearm scope-mounting products. Its catalog includes Picatinny rails, rimfire and specialty rings, fixed scope ring systems, screw-lock detachable rings, and gunsmithing products, giving it a concentrated role in the mounting side of the shooting optics market.

Talley states that its products are machined in the United States at its Santee plant, and that domestic production is a defining part of the brand. Alongside traditional fixed systems, the company also offers lightweight alloy scope mounts and other ring styles for different rifles and mounting standards. That specialization has made Talley a familiar name for shooters who want purpose-built mounting hardware rather than general accessories.

Hi. I need to mount a Leupold 35mm tube Mark 5 7-35 X 56mm scope on a Talley Picattany rail for an HS Precision rifle. Talley does not specify which HSP rifle, but mine is a 2000 HTR in .338 Lapua. Will these rings work with this Talley rail, and will the Talley rail work with the 2000 HTR? These rings appear to come (or came) in two heights, High and Extra-High. Which is best for their base and a 56mm objective scope? Thanks!

by Jay

Dear Jay,

thank you for contacting us.

For your riflescope, we would recommend a total BH height of approximately 15 mm in order to work properly. Please note that these rings are suitable for a Picatinny rail.
