ABOUT SWAMPFOX

Swampfox Optics is an American optics manufacturer focused on modern tactical, sporting, and hunting optics. The company is known for producing feature-rich optics that emphasize durability, functionality, and practical real-world performance.

ABOUT THE KRAKEN SERIES

The Swampfox Kraken was developed as a rugged enclosed-emitter reflex sight intended for users who require maximum reliability in harsh conditions. Unlike open reflex sights, the Kraken uses a fully enclosed optical system that protects the emitter from environmental contamination such as rain, mud, dust, or snow.

The optic was designed primarily for duty pistols, tactical carbines, and hard-use defensive setups where durability and reliability are critical. Its reinforced construction and enclosed emitter architecture place it among the heavy-duty micro reflex sights on the market.

The Swampfox Kraken 1x16 is available in the following configurations:

• Kraken 1x16 3 MOA Red Dot
• Kraken 1x16 3 MOA Green Dot

PHYSICAL PROPERTIES

Swampfox Kraken features a rugged body machined from 7075 aircraft-grade aluminum. The optic is built to withstand heavy recoil forces, impacts, and difficult environmental conditions while maintaining consistent performance.

The enclosed emitter construction protects the internal LED system from external contamination and moisture, significantly improving reliability compared to traditional open-emitter reflex sights.

The sight is IPX7 waterproof rated and designed for demanding tactical and outdoor applications. Swampfox also integrated reinforced protective lenses and an independent inner tube construction for additional durability.

Kraken utilizes Swampfox Shake ‘N Wake technology, automatically powering down after inactivity and instantly reactivating once movement is detected. This helps maximize battery life without compromising readiness.

The optic uses a CR2032 battery and features tactile digital brightness controls together with precise windage and elevation adjustments.

Swampfox includes both RMR and Glock MOS adapter plates in the package, allowing broad compatibility with many optics-ready handgun platforms and mounting systems.

OPTICAL PROPERTIES

Swampfox Kraken is a true 1x reflex sight designed for rapid target acquisition and intuitive shooting. The protected 16 mm optical window provides a clear and unobstructed sight picture while maintaining the compact dimensions required for handgun use.

Depending on the selected version, the optic is available with either a 3 MOA red dot or a 3 MOA green dot reticle. The 3 MOA size offers a strong balance between speed and precision for defensive, tactical, and sporting applications.

The illumination system features 10 brightness settings, including settings optimized for low-light environments and night vision compatibility.

The lenses are fully multi-coated and include anti-fog, anti-scratch, and hydrophobic coatings that improve image clarity and help maintain visibility in difficult weather conditions.
