Sig Sauer XRAY3 Day/Night Sight Set, Supertall Suppressor Height

• Day and night visibility: The XRAY3 system combines a bright green front sight with tritium illumination, so the sight picture stays easy to pick up in bright daylight and remains visible when ambient light drops.
• Suppressor-height profile: The super-tall sight height is built for pistols that need a higher iron-sight line, helping maintain a usable sight picture when a suppressor or similar setup would block standard-height sights.
• Three-dot alignment: A 3-dot layout gives a familiar reference for fast alignment, which helps speed up sight acquisition for defensive use, range work, and general carry practice.
• Steel construction: The steel housing stands up well to holster wear, repeated slide cycling, and regular handling, making it a practical choice for hard-use handgun setups.
• Fixed sight design: With a fixed configuration, this sight set keeps the profile simple and robust, reducing the chance of settings shifting during daily carry or repeated firing.

About the XRAY3 Series

The SIG SAUER XRAY3 series is designed as a modern handgun sight family for shooters who need one sight picture that works across a wide range of lighting conditions. In SIG SAUER’s pistol-sight lineup, XRAY3 day/night sights sit as a practical upgrade over basic iron sights by combining high-visibility daytime elements with tritium illumination for low-light use. That makes the series relevant for defensive pistols, duty handguns, training guns, and range pistols that may be used indoors, outdoors, or in transitional light.

A defining characteristic of the series is its emphasis on fast front-sight acquisition. The bright front element draws the eye quickly, while the illuminated night-sight arrangement keeps the sight picture usable after dark without relying on batteries. Across the range, XRAY3 sights are built around durable steel construction and familiar iron-sight geometry, so they preserve the straightforward handling shooters expect from fixed handgun sights. Different height and configuration options within the series allow the platform to serve standard pistols as well as specialized setups, while keeping the same core idea: a clear, durable, always-ready sighting system for serious handgun use.

About the Sig Sauer XRAY3 Day/Night Sight Set, Supertall Suppressor Height

The Sig Sauer XRAY3 Day/Night Sight Set, Supertall Suppressor Height is a specialized handgun sight set built for pistols that need a higher-than-standard iron-sight line. Its defining feature is the super-tall suppressor-height format, which helps preserve a clear sight picture when standard sights would sit too low. For shooters running a suppressor-ready pistol or a setup that benefits from elevated irons, that extra height makes the sights more usable without changing the simple handling of a fixed iron-sight system.

This model uses a tritium day/night configuration with a green front sight and green rear reference points in a 3-dot layout. In practical use, the bright front element helps the eye settle on the front sight quickly in daylight, while the tritium illumination keeps the sights visible in dim interiors, at dusk, or in other reduced-light conditions. The rear sight uses a defined notch profile that supports consistent alignment, helping the shooter balance speed and precision rather than forcing a choice between the two.

The sight set is also built for regular carry and range use with a steel body and a fixed, non-adjustable design. That combination favors durability and stability over extra complexity, which is important on a reciprocating pistol slide. SIG SAUER specifies this set with a 9.5mm/.374" front sight height and a 10.59mm/.417" rear sight height, equivalent to its #6 front and #8 rear arrangement, making it a purpose-built option for P-Series pistols that require a tall backup or primary iron-sight solution.

About Sig Sauer

SIG SAUER traces its origins to a wagon factory opened near the Rhine Falls in 1853 in Switzerland. Over time, the company developed into a broad firearms and shooting-equipment manufacturer, and SIG SAUER, Inc. is headquartered in Newington, New Hampshire. Its product range includes firearms, electro-optics, ammunition, airguns, and suppressors, which gives the brand a strong connection to complete shooting systems rather than stand-alone accessories.

Within optics and sighting equipment, SIG SAUER produces red-dot sights, riflescopes, and rangefinders alongside pistol sight products such as the XRAY3 series. That wider electro-optics background matters because the company develops sighting products for practical field use across defensive, sporting, and professional applications. The brand name itself was adopted in 2007, when SIGARMS changed its name to SIG SAUER, reflecting the identity under which its current firearms and optics lines are widely known.
