Sig Sauer Sierra6 BDX 5-30x56

• BDX 2.0 ballistic system: When paired with a compatible SIG SAUER rangefinder, the scope delivers an illuminated holdover reference based on ballistic and environmental data, reducing guesswork for longer shots in the field.
• 5-30x magnification range: The wide zoom span covers everything from deliberate mid-range shooting to precise long-range target work, giving one riflescope the flexibility to suit varied hunting and range conditions.
• 56 mm objective with HDX optics: The large objective and advanced optical system help maintain a bright, detailed sight picture, which is especially useful when targets are small, distant, or viewed in difficult light.
• Digital Focal Plane with BDX-R2 reticle: The second-focal-plane stadia remain familiar to use, while the digital illuminated holdover dot scales with magnification for a practical aiming reference across the zoom range.
• LevelPlex, MOTAC and IPX-7 construction: Digital anti-cant support, motion-activated illumination, and waterproof, fogproof construction make the scope easier to run confidently in rough weather and uneven shooting positions.

About the Sig Sauer Sierra6 BDX Series

The Sig Sauer Sierra6 BDX series is a premium super-zoom riflescope family built for hunters and shooters who want traditional optical performance combined with integrated ballistic assistance. Announced as shipping on December 16, 2020, the line sits within SIG SAUER’s BDX ecosystem and is designed to work with compatible rangefinders to translate ballistic and environmental data into an illuminated holdover solution inside the scope.

A defining feature of the series is its Digital Focal Plane concept, which combines second-focal-plane stadia with a digital illuminated holdover dot that scales with magnification. This gives users the familiar view of an SFP hunting riflescope while adding a dynamic aiming reference for changing distances. Shared series features include LevelPlex digital anti-cant, motion-activated illumination, KinETHIC energy indication, and anti-reflection lens coatings. The range includes 2-12x40 mm, 3-18x44 mm, and 5-30x56 mm models, covering everything from general hunting rifles to more specialized long-range setups.

About the Sig Sauer Sierra6 BDX 5-30x56

The Sig Sauer Sierra6 BDX 5-30x56 is the longest-range model in the series, built for shooters who need a riflescope that can stretch from careful field shots to deliberate precision work at extended distance. Its 5-30x magnification range gives it a broad working envelope: lower power remains useful when scanning terrain or engaging closer targets, while the upper end helps resolve small aiming points and read target detail at long range. The 56.00 mm objective lens supports a bright image and helps the scope stay practical in low-light hunting periods when contrast and target definition matter most.

This model uses a 34 mm main tube with 60.00 MOA of elevation and windage adjustment, giving it the adjustment range expected for long-range hunting and target rifles. The capped turrets suit users who prefer a cleaner field setup with less chance of accidental movement during transport or stalking. Side-focus parallax adjustment helps sharpen the image and reduce aiming error as distances change, while eye relief of 93.98 mm to 99.06 mm supports comfortable use on centerfire rifles.

The scope’s practical advantage comes from how SIG SAUER integrates electronics into a conventional hunting optic. The BDX-R2 digital ballistic reticle, illuminated reticle, LevelPlex digital anti-cant system, and KinETHIC indicator all support more informed shot placement without turning the riflescope into a complicated interface. With argon purging, IPX-7 waterproofing, fogproof construction, and a weight of 862.00 g, it is configured for demanding outdoor use where weather resistance matters as much as optical reach.

About Sig Sauer

SIG SAUER traces its origins to a wagon factory opened near the Rhine Falls in Switzerland in 1853. The modern company has grown into a broad shooting-sports manufacturer, and SIG SAUER, Inc. is headquartered in Newington, New Hampshire. In 2007, SIGARMS changed its name to SIG SAUER, reflecting the brand identity now used across its firearms and optics lines.

Today, the company manufactures firearms, electro-optics, ammunition, airguns, and suppressors, with electro-optics covering riflescopes, red-dot sights, and rangefinders. In this category, SIG SAUER is known for integrating ballistic electronics with field-ready optics, as seen in its BDX system. Its optical technologies include the HDX optical system, which combines extra-low-dispersion glass with high-transmittance glass, and the HellFire illuminated reticle that uses fiber-optic technology. That mix of shooting heritage and electronics development gives SIG SAUER a strong position in hunting optics and tactical optics alike.
