Schmidt & Bender Yellow Filter 24 mm

• 24 mm objective fit: Sized for compatible Schmidt & Bender riflescopes with a 24 mm objective, this filter adds contrast enhancement without changing the handling of a compact hunting or tactical optic.
• Yellow contrast filter: The yellow tint helps increase perceived contrast, especially in cloudy weather, making details stand out more clearly against flat or muted backgrounds.
• SCHOTT glass construction: Made from homogeneous SCHOTT glass, the filter is built for consistent optical quality and dependable image transmission rather than acting as a simple cosmetic add-on.
• Thread-on mounting: The filter screws directly onto the objective for a secure fit that stays aligned in use and is easy to remove when light conditions change.
• Double-sided thread design: The male thread fits compatible riflescopes, while the female thread can accept protective lens covers, so the optic keeps its accessory flexibility after the filter is installed.

About the S&B Accessories Series

S&B Accessories is the accessory range developed by Schmidt & Bender for its riflescope lineup, with a clear focus on practical additions that support field use rather than unnecessary complexity. The series covers the common needs of hunting optics, competition riflescopes and professional tactical optics, including filters, anti-reflection devices, lens covers, adapters, cleaning tools and magnification levers. Across the range, the design approach is straightforward: each accessory is made to integrate cleanly with the riflescope and preserve the optic’s normal function.

A defining characteristic of the series is its model-specific compatibility. Schmidt & Bender matches accessories to particular riflescope formats, so fit and function are tailored to the optic rather than generic. Within the range, objective-mounted accessories such as sunshades, killFlash devices and filters are built to manage light, reflections and contrast in different conditions. Several accessories use double-sided threads, allowing another item such as a protective cover to be added on top. That makes the series especially useful for shooters who want to adapt a riflescope to changing weather, light and operational requirements without replacing the optic itself.

About the Schmidt & Bender Yellow Filter 24 mm

The Schmidt & Bender Yellow Filter 24 mm is a compact riflescope accessory designed for shooters who want better target separation in dull, overcast or visually flat conditions. Its main job is not magnification or glare reduction alone, but contrast enhancement. By shifting the image toward a yellow tone, it helps terrain features, edges and target outlines appear more distinct when ambient light is soft and the scene lacks definition. That can be useful in hunting and general field observation, where subtle visual differences are often harder to pick up in cloudy weather.

The filter is made from homogeneous SCHOTT glass, which matters because an accessory mounted in front of the objective should preserve optical consistency rather than introduce obvious distortion or uneven coloration. The thread-on format gives it a secure mechanical connection to compatible 24 mm objective riflescopes, making it practical for regular use in the field. Schmidt & Bender also uses a double-sided thread arrangement, so the filter does not block the use of compatible protective lens covers. In practice, that means the optic can remain protected and configured for transport or rough weather without removing the filter first. For shooters using a compact Schmidt & Bender riflescope, this 24 mm yellow filter is a simple way to tune the sight picture for specific light conditions while keeping the setup neat and purpose-built.

About Schmidt & Bender

Schmidt & Bender was founded in 1957 by Helmut Schmidt and Helmut Bender in Biebertal-Fellingshausen, Germany. The company remains based in Biebertal and is known for building precision riflescopes for hunting, competition shooting, police and military use. Its reputation is closely tied to mechanical precision, repeatable adjustments and durable optical systems intended for demanding field conditions.

Within the riflescope market, Schmidt & Bender is particularly associated with established product families such as Zenith and PM II. The company expanded its manufacturing structure in 1992 by establishing a Hungarian subsidiary based on an optical department acquired from MOM. That background reflects a long focus on optical and mechanical specialization rather than broad consumer electronics. For riflescope users, the brand is best known for purpose-built optics and accessories that are designed around real shooting applications, from low-light hunting to precision and professional use.
