Recknagel Pivot upper parts, Mauser M94, 30 mm

• Steel upper assembly: The steel construction gives the mount the rigidity needed to keep a riflescope stable under recoil and repeated handling, which is especially important on hunting rifles that are carried often and expected to hold zero.
• 30 mm ring interface: Built for 30 mm scope tubes, these upper parts suit a wide range of modern hunting optics while providing a secure clamping surface without unnecessary bulk.
• Adjustable windage: Windage adjustment in the mount helps align the scope more precisely with the rifle, reducing the need to use up internal scope adjustment and preserving more reticle travel for zeroing.
• Pivot-mount design: As part of a pivot mounting system, the upper assembly supports quick removal and reattachment of the optic, which is useful when switching setups or transporting the rifle more compactly.
• Low 18.50 mm build height: The relatively low mounting height helps keep the sight line closer to the bore, supporting a more natural cheek weld and more consistent shooting position.

About the - Series

The - series is built around the idea of a repeatable detachable mounting system for sporting and hunting rifles. In this product family, the emphasis is not on adding complexity but on giving the shooter a practical way to remove an optic and refit it with minimal shift in point of impact. That makes the concept especially relevant for rifles used with more than one sighting setup or for owners who want easier transport and access to the action.

Within the broader market for hunting optics mounts, this series sits in the category of pivot-style scope mounts that combine a secure lock-up with fast handling. The design philosophy focuses on a stable mechanical interface, precise fit between upper and lower components, and compatibility with common riflescope formats such as 30 mm tubes. Rather than serving as a universal one-piece solution, the system is built as a modular mount, so the upper parts can be matched to the correct bases and optic format. For hunters and traditional rifle users, that approach offers a practical balance of clean rifle lines, dependable return-to-zero behavior, and the flexibility to configure the mount around a specific rifle and scope combination.

About the Recknagel Pivot upper parts, Mauser M94, 30 mm

The Recknagel Pivot upper parts, Mauser M94, 30 mm are the scope-holding section of a pivot mount setup, made for use with compatible Recknagel lower bases and a 30 mm riflescope tube. Their role is straightforward but important: they provide the precise interface between the optic and the detachable mounting system, so the scope sits securely and returns to the same position when the mount is opened and closed correctly.

The use of steel is significant here. For a mount component, material choice directly affects long-term stability, resistance to wear at the locking surfaces, and the ability to maintain alignment after repeated removal and refitting. That makes these upper parts well suited to hunting rifles that may be carried in rough conditions, stored with the optic removed, or used with different sighting arrangements through the season. The black finish keeps the appearance understated and appropriate for traditional sporting rifles.

This version also includes adjustable windage, which is a practical advantage during installation. By allowing lateral correction in the mount itself, it helps the scope stay closer to its optical center when zeroed, which can support better tracking and preserve more internal adjustment range. With a BH height of 18.50 mm, an H height of 33.50 mm, and 0 MOA inclination, the mount is configured for a conventional, neutral setup that suits general hunting use rather than specialized long-range cant compensation.

About Recknagel

Recknagel is a German manufacturer specializing in firearm and riflescope mounting systems, sights, and hunting accessories. The company’s history began in 1867, when Adolf Recknagel started manufacturing firearm sights in Albrechts near Suhl, in Thuringia. Over time, the brand expanded from sight components into a broad range of mounting and rifle accessories used by hunters and sport shooters.

Today, Recknagel’s product range includes scope mounts, Picatinny rails, firearm sights, triggers, safeties, and hunting silencers. The company added the ERATAC line of tactical mounts and accessories in 2010, showing its reach beyond traditional hunting applications into more modern tactical and precision-oriented systems. Recknagel relocated from Schweinfurt to Bergrheinfeld in 2006, and in 2022 the company was acquired by Dr. Moritz Fehrer. Across its catalog, Recknagel is known for mechanically focused products where fit, repeatability, and durable construction matter more than unnecessary complexity.
