Recknagel GK Pivot upper parts, Heym SR 30, 34 mm

• Steel upper assembly: The steel construction gives the mount the rigidity needed for repeatable scope alignment and dependable long-term use on hunting rifles.
• 34 mm ring interface: Built for 34 mm scope tubes, this upper part supports modern optics with larger adjustment ranges and larger internal assemblies.
• Adjustable windage: Windage correction in the mount helps align the optic more precisely to the rifle, reducing the need to use up internal scope adjustment.
• 0 MOA inclination: A neutral mounting angle suits general hunting and everyday rifle setups where a straightforward zero is preferred over built-in elevation cant.
• Compact mounting height: With 18.50 mm BH. and 35.50 mm H., the mount keeps the optic at a practical height for stable cheek weld and comfortable sight picture.

About the Recknagel GK Pivot Series

Recknagel GK Pivot mounts are built for hunters and rifle owners who want a removable scope mounting system with the solid feel of a traditional steel design. In Recknagel’s hunting-mount range, the pivot system sits in the segment for classic detachable mounts, where the priority is a secure lock-up, precise refitting and a clean rifle profile when the optic is removed. The concept is especially relevant on European hunting rifles that are often used with more than one sighting setup.

The series is defined by its two-part pivot arrangement, model-specific fit and a focus on repeatable positioning when the optic is taken off and reattached. Depending on the version, GK Pivot upper parts are offered for different tube diameters and rifle interfaces, allowing the system to be matched to both the scope and the firearm. The design philosophy is practical rather than bulky: robust materials, close mechanical tolerances and a layout that keeps the optic low over the bore. For hunting use, that means a mount that supports fast handling, preserves access to the rifle and gives the user a removable setup without changing the character of the firearm.

About the Recknagel GK Pivot upper parts, Heym SR 30, 34 mm

The Recknagel GK Pivot upper parts for the Heym SR 30 are made for shooters who want to pair a 34 mm riflescope with a pivot-mount system tailored to this rifle platform. As the upper section of the mount, this component provides the scope interface while working with compatible pivot bases below, making it suitable for builds where the optic must sit securely yet remain removable when needed.

The use of steel is important here because it supports consistent clamping strength and mechanical stability over time. On a hunting rifle, that matters not only for durability, but also for maintaining reliable alignment after repeated handling. The adjustable windage adds practical value during setup by allowing lateral correction in the mount itself. This can help preserve more of the riflescope’s internal adjustment range, which is especially useful when centering the reticle during installation.

Its 0 MOA inclination makes this version a straightforward choice for conventional zeroing distances and general-purpose hunting optics, without introducing additional cant into the setup. The specified 18.50 mm BH. and 35.50 mm H. indicate a mounting geometry intended to keep the scope at a sensible height above the action, supporting a natural head position and stable cheek weld. Finished in black, the mount matches the restrained, functional look expected of a traditional hunting rifle installation.

About Recknagel

Recknagel is a German maker of firearm components whose history began in 1867, when Adolf Recknagel started manufacturing firearm sights in Albrechts near Suhl, Thuringia. The company is known for its work in riflescope mounting systems, sights and hunting accessories, with a product range that also includes Picatinny rails, triggers, safeties and silencers. This background is directly relevant to hunting mounts, where precise machining and dependable fit are central to performance.

Over time, Recknagel expanded from traditional hunting products into newer segments while keeping mount engineering at the center of its identity. The company introduced the ERATAC line of tactical mounts and accessories in 2010, added lightweight hunting silencers in 2016, and moved from Schweinfurt to Bergrheinfeld in 2006. Since 2022, the company has been owned by Dr. Moritz Fehrer. That combination of long manufacturing history and continued product development has helped make Recknagel a familiar name in European hunting and mounting hardware.
