Minox X-active 10x25 Product description

  • Compact 10x25 format: The 10x magnification brings distant details closer, while the 25 mm objective lenses keep the binocular small enough for day hikes, travel and everyday carry.
  • Open Comfort Bridge body: The open-bridge design gives a secure one-handed grip and makes the binocular easier to handle quickly when moving between viewpoints.
  • Roof prisms with fully multicoated optics: This combination supports a bright, contrast-rich image with neutral colour rendition, helping with detail recognition in daylight observation.
  • IPX-7 waterproof and nitrogen filled: The sealed, fogproof construction keeps the binocular ready for wet weather, changing temperatures and regular outdoor use.
  • Aluminium housing: The metal body adds durability without excessive weight, so the binocular remains practical for frequent carrying in the field.

About the Minox X-active Series

The Minox X-active series sits in the brand’s hunting-oriented binocular range as a versatile line for stalking, hide observation and general outdoor use. It is built around an open Comfort Bridge design, giving the series a secure, practical handling style that suits users who want quick access and steady grip rather than bulky full-size construction. Across the range, MINOX pairs this layout with turnable eyecups, making the binoculars easier to adapt for both eyeglass wearers and users who observe for longer periods.

The series covers several formats, from compact 25 mm models to larger 33 mm, 44 mm and 56 mm versions, so the line spans lightweight carry options as well as brighter low-light binoculars. Shared X-active features include phase-corrected prisms, M* multi-coating, nitrogen purging and IPX7 waterproofing, all aimed at delivering dependable outdoor performance. In practical use, the series is known for neutral colour rendition and high contrast, characteristics that help separate fine detail from background clutter and make the binoculars suitable not only for hunting optics, but also for hiking and general wildlife observation.

About the Minox X-active 10x25

The Minox X-active 10x25 is the compact, higher-magnification model in the pocket end of the X-active family. Its 10.00 x magnification gives it a clear advantage when the priority is pulling distant subjects closer, whether for scanning open ground, following wildlife on a hillside or carrying a lightweight binocular on walks where a larger model would be left behind. The trade-off is a more compact 25.00 mm objective, which keeps the binocular highly portable and easy to pack.

Its Roof - Schmidt/Pechan prism system and Fully Multicoated optics are chosen for a slim body shape and a clean, contrast-rich image. A 105.00 m/1000m field of view gives enough width for general observation, while the 2.50 m close focus helps when viewing nearby details on trails or at short range. The 2.50 mm exit pupil reflects the model’s emphasis on daylight portability rather than low-light brightness, which suits travel, hiking and fair-weather field use.

Mechanically, the binocular is designed for practical outdoor handling. The central focusing system allows quick adjustment with minimal hand movement, and the right eye-piece diopter adjustment with a +/- 4 range helps fine-tune the view to the user’s eyesight. Its aluminium housing, nitrogen filling, fogproof construction and IPX-7 waterproofing give the X-active 10x25 the durability expected from a compact binocular that may spend long periods in a pack or jacket pocket.

About Minox

MINOX GmbH was founded in 1945 in Wetzlar, Germany, and the company is closely associated with precision optical design. Although it first became widely known for miniature cameras developed from Walter Zapp’s early work, MINOX later expanded into sport optics and entered that market in the 1990s. Today, the company develops binoculars, spotting scopes, riflescopes, night-vision devices and wildlife cameras, with a product range focused on practical field use.

MINOX became an independent company after separating from Leica Camera AG in 2005, joined the Blaser Group in 2013, and relocated to Isny, Germany on February 1, 2020. In hunting and observation optics, the brand is known for combining compact mechanical design with straightforward, field-oriented functionality. That background is directly relevant to the X-active line, which reflects MINOX’s emphasis on usable ergonomics, durable construction and optical performance tailored to outdoor observation.
