Meprolight Tru-Dot for S&W Sigma

• Self-illuminated tritium system: The Meprolight Tru-Dot sight set stays visible in low light and at night without batteries, so the pistol remains ready at any hour with no switches, charging, or maintenance routine.
• Three-dot sight picture: A green 3 dot alignment gives a familiar reference that is easy to read under stress, helping the shooter pick up the front sight quickly and confirm alignment faster.
• Fixed steel construction: The fixed design keeps the setup simple and durable, while the steel body stands up well to daily carry, repeated holstering, and regular range use.
• Square rear sight: The square rear notch supports a clean, conventional sight picture that works well for deliberate aiming as well as fast defensive presentations.
• Direct replacement concept: Tru-Dot pistol sights are built as replacement sights for compatible handguns, making them a practical upgrade for shooters who want improved low-light visibility without changing the handling of the pistol.

About the Meprolight Tru-Dot Series

Meprolight Tru-Dot is the company’s established family of self-illuminated handgun night sights, built for shooters who want a simple iron-sight upgrade that works in both daylight and low-light conditions. Across the series, the defining idea is a three-dot sight picture that remains consistent as ambient light drops, so the shooter does not need to adapt to a different aiming reference at night. Tritium illumination is central to the design, providing a visible sight picture without batteries or external charging.

The series covers a broad range of handgun platforms and includes fixed, adjustable, and suppressor-height variants, which places Tru-Dot in a practical middle ground between basic factory sights and more specialized competition or optics-oriented setups. Some models are offered with different tritium dot color combinations, while adjustable versions add windage and elevation correction for shooters who want a more tunable setup. The overall design philosophy stays straightforward: durable replacement sights, familiar alignment, and dependable visibility for defensive carry, duty use, and general range shooting.

About the Meprolight Tru-Dot for S&W Sigma

The Meprolight Tru-Dot for S&W Sigma is a dedicated tritium night sight set for shooters who want to keep the handling of their Sigma pistol familiar while improving visibility when light is poor. Instead of relying on painted dots that fade into shadow, this model uses green self-illuminated tritium to keep the aiming reference visible around the clock. That matters on a defensive handgun, where the pistol may be used in transitional light, indoors, or after dark and there is no time to manage electronics.

The sight picture uses a 3-dot alignment with a square rear sight, giving the shooter a conventional layout that is easy to understand and quick to index. Because the design is fixed, there are no exposed adjustment mechanisms to complicate the setup or add bulk. This makes the sight set well suited to everyday carry, home-defense use, and service-style shooting where reliability and consistency matter more than on-the-fly adjustment.

The housing is made from steel, which supports long-term durability under recoil, holster wear, and routine handling. At 100.00 g, the set remains a compact handgun upgrade rather than a change to the pistol’s balance or manual of arms. In practical use, this Meprolight handgun sight set is about keeping the Sigma fast, familiar, and easier to align when lighting conditions are less than ideal.
