Meprolight Tru-Dot for Glock 10mm, 45 ACP

• Self-illuminated tritium sight picture: The Tru-Dot system stays visible in low light and at night without batteries, so the pistol remains ready with the same aiming reference at any hour.
• Three-dot alignment: A clear 3-dot layout helps the eye center the front sight quickly, which supports faster sight acquisition for defensive use and routine carry.
• Steel construction: The all-steel body gives the sight set the durability needed for daily holster wear, repeated recoil, and hard use on service-size Glock pistols.
• Fixed sight design: A fixed setup keeps the profile simple and robust, reducing the chance of losing zero through hard handling while maintaining a straightforward duty-style sight picture.
• Square rear sight: The square rear notch gives a familiar, easy-to-read reference that helps define the front dot cleanly in both daylight and reduced light.

About the Meprolight Tru-Dot Series

Meprolight Tru-Dot sights are a long-running family of self-illuminated handgun night sights built as direct replacements for factory front and rear sights on a wide range of pistols. Within Meprolight’s handgun lineup, the series covers fixed, adjustable, and suppressor-height configurations, which makes it relevant to defensive carry, duty pistols, and specialized handgun setups. The core idea of the series is simple: provide a consistent sight picture in daylight, low light, and nighttime conditions without adding batteries or switches.

The defining feature of the series is its tritium-powered 3-dot sight picture, which gives the shooter a visible aiming reference when ambient light drops. Different models in the family also appear in multiple fitments for major handgun makers, so the design is tailored to practical replacement rather than universal compromise. Across the series, the emphasis stays on durable metal construction, straightforward installation on compatible pistols, and a sight picture that remains familiar under stress. That makes Tru-Dot a practical choice for shooters who want conventional iron sights with round-the-clock visibility and minimal maintenance.

About the Meprolight Tru-Dot for Glock 10mm, 45 ACP

The Meprolight Tru-Dot for Glock 10mm, 45 ACP is a fixed tritium night sight set built for shooters who want a simple, always-available iron sight upgrade on compatible large-frame Glock pistols. Its main strength is consistency: the same three-dot layout used in daylight remains visible in low-light and nighttime conditions, so there is no change in operating method when lighting deteriorates. Because the illumination is self-powered, the sight is always on and does not depend on batteries, controls, or charging routines.

This model uses a 3-dot alignment with a square rear sight, a combination that balances speed and clarity. The front dot is easy to pick up quickly at defensive distances, while the rear sight shape helps frame the front sight cleanly for more deliberate shots. That makes the set suitable for carry, home-defense, and service-style use where fast visual confirmation matters more than adjustment features.

The steel construction supports long-term durability under recoil, repeated presentation from the holster, and general daily use. A fixed sight adjustment also keeps the design mechanically simple and resistant to hard handling, which is often preferred on defensive pistols where reliability and a snag-free profile matter more than user-adjustable settings. For Glock owners chambered in 10mm or .45 ACP, this sight set delivers a familiar iron-sight format with dependable low-light visibility.

About Meprolight

Meprolight was founded in 1990 as a supplier of sights and battle optics to the Israel Defense Forces. Based in Or Akiva, Israel, the company develops and manufactures optical and electro-optical sighting systems for military, law-enforcement, and civilian markets. Its catalog covers conventional sights, tritium night sights, reflex optics, magnified optics, night-vision systems, thermal devices, and related sighting solutions for pistols, rifles, shotguns, and carbines.

As a division of SK Group, Meprolight has built its reputation around rugged sighting products designed for practical field use rather than range-only applications. That background is especially relevant in the handgun-sight category, where the company is well known for self-illuminated iron sights that combine durable metal construction with round-the-clock visibility. The same focus on optical and electro-optical systems also connects its traditional iron sights to a broader lineup of modern aiming products.
