Maven B4 12x56

• 12x56 configuration: The combination of 12x magnification and a 56 mm objective lens brings distant detail closer while still maintaining enough exit pupil for confident glassing in the first and last light of the day.
• Abbe-Koenig prism system: This roof-prism design supports high light transmission and strong contrast, helping the binocular deliver a bright image for long observation sessions in open country and low-light hunting conditions.
• Long eye relief: With 18.00 mm of eye relief and adjustable eyecups, the B4 12x56 remains comfortable for extended use and works well for eyeglass wearers who need a full field of view.
• Open-bridge body: The open-bridge layout gives a more secure one-handed hold and better balance for a full-size binocular, which matters when scanning for long periods from a ridge, stand, or vehicle.
• Tripod-adaptable, weather-sealed build: Waterproof, fogproof, and nitrogen-filled construction helps the binocular stay dependable in changing weather, while tripod adaptability adds stability when maximum detail is needed at long range.

About the Maven B4 Series

The Maven B4 Series sits within Maven’s high-performance B Series and is built for users who want a full-size binocular with strong low-light capability and the steadiness benefits of a larger optical system. In this family, Maven focuses on a practical field design: Abbe-König prisms, ED glass, and a large 56 mm objective platform intended for hunting and observation in difficult light.

The series includes 10x56 and 12x56 configurations, giving users a choice between a wider, easier view or more reach for judging distant animals and terrain. Maven states that B Series glass is produced in Japan, and the B4 models use Japanese components assembled in the United States. The B4 line is also built for field durability, with nitrogen purging, an IPX7 immersion rating, adjustable eyecups, and tripod adaptability. The result is a binocular series designed around brightness, contrast, and long-session comfort rather than compact size, making it especially relevant for hunters and observers who spend extended time behind the glass.

About the Maven B4 12x56

The Maven B4 12x56 is the higher-magnification version in the B4 line, aimed at users who need more reach without stepping into the bulk of a spotting scope. Its 12x magnification makes it easier to pick apart distant cover, study terrain features, and confirm detail at longer distances, while the 56.00 mm objective lens helps preserve image brightness when light is fading. With a 4.70 mm exit pupil and 94.2 % light transmission, it is well suited to dawn and dusk glassing where contrast and image brightness matter more than compact dimensions.

The optical layout uses Roof - Abbe/Koenig prisms and fully multicoated lenses, supporting a bright, high-contrast image with the kind of depth and clarity that benefits long observation sessions. A 96.25 m/1000m field of view is sensible for a 12x binocular, giving enough width for scanning while still prioritizing detail at distance. The 18.00 mm eye relief helps maintain a comfortable viewing position, especially for eyeglass wearers, and the central focusing system keeps adjustments quick and intuitive in the field.

Mechanically, the binocular is shaped around practical handling. The open bridge body improves grip security, and tripod adaptability gives the option of a steadier image when glassing from fixed positions. Waterproof, fogproof, and nitrogen-filled construction supports reliable use in cold mornings, wet weather, and changing temperatures, making the B4 12x56 a strong fit for open-country hunting, long-range wildlife observation, and any use where low-light performance and distance detail take priority over minimum weight.

About Maven

Maven Outdoor Equipment Company was founded in 2013 in Lander, Wyoming. The company focuses on binoculars, spotting scopes, riflescopes, rangefinders, and monoculars, and it is known for selling its optics directly to consumers rather than through a traditional retail structure. Within the lineup, Maven’s B and S Series optics use Japanese components and are assembled in a military-standard facility in San Diego, while quality inspection and testing for those series takes place at the company’s Lander headquarters.

Maven has built its reputation around practical field optics with clearly defined product families, including the B, C, S, RS, RF, and related series. In the binocular category, the B Series is especially relevant for users who want Japanese-sourced optical components and a design focused on image quality, durability, and dependable field use.
