March Compact 1.5-15x42

• 1.5-15x magnification range: The wide zoom span covers fast, close work at the low end and precise shot placement at distance on the high end, making the scope suitable for hunting, practical rifle use, and target shooting with one setup.
• 42 mm objective in a compact body: The larger objective gathers more light than low-profile 24 mm designs, helping in dim conditions while the 268.00 mm length keeps the rifle easier to balance and carry.
• Tactical multi-turn turrets: Generous elevation and windage travel with a 10 MIL/20 MOA per-turn layout supports repeatable dialing for distance, while the tactical format is easier to read and operate under time pressure.
• Side focus from 10m to infinity: Close parallax adjustment makes the scope more versatile across short-range practice, air-rifle style distances, and longer field shots, with a sharper image and more precise aiming.
• Illuminated reticle with auto shut-off: Red illumination helps the aiming point stand out against dark targets or shaded backgrounds, and the auto turn-off function helps preserve CR2032 battery life.

About the March Compact Series

March Compact is a current second focal plane riflescope family built around a 30 mm body tube and designed to deliver broad versatility in a notably short, lightweight format. Within the March lineup, the Compact series sits as a practical crossover option for shooters who want one optic that can move between hunting, tactical use, service-rifle shooting, and competition roles without the bulk of a larger long-range scope.

The series covers a wide spread of configurations, from low-power models for fast shooting to higher-magnification versions for more deliberate work, with objective sizes including 24 mm, 42 mm, and 52 mm. March offers the range with standard or tactical turrets, MOA or MIL adjustments, and illuminated or non-illuminated reticle options, so the same basic platform can be tailored to different shooting styles. That design approach gives the Compact series its character: compact dimensions, flexible magnification choices, and a mechanical layout intended to keep the optic adaptable across rifles used for field, range, and competition work.

About the March Compact 1.5-15x42

The March Compact 1.5-15x42 stands out in the series by combining a 10x zoom range with a 42.00 mm objective lens in a scope that remains short at 268.00 mm and moderate in weight at 624.00 g. In practical use, that gives it a broader operating window than a typical low-power optic: 1.50 x is useful for quick target acquisition at short distances, while 15.00 x provides enough magnification for careful shot placement, load development, and mid-range target work.

The optical layout is built for field versatility. A fully multicoated lens system helps maintain contrast and brightness, while the 42 mm objective supports better low-light performance than smaller front lenses in compact scopes. Field of view runs from 23.40 m/100m down to 2.30 m/100m, so the scope can shift from scanning and tracking to more precise observation as magnification increases. Eye relief varies from 69.00 mm to 94.00 mm, and the fast-focus eyepiece helps bring the reticle into sharp focus quickly.

This model uses tactical multi-turn turrets with 23.20 mrad / 79.00 MOA of elevation travel and 14.50 mrad / 49.00 MOA of windage travel, giving the shooter enough adjustment range for dialing rather than relying only on holdover. The side focus from 10m to infinity adds flexibility for close-range practice and longer shots alike. Red reticle illumination improves visibility against dark targets or in shaded woodland, and the argon-filled, waterproof, fogproof, and shockproof construction supports reliable use in changing weather and hard field conditions.

About March

DEON Optical Design Corporation was established in 2004 in Japan and is headquartered in Chino, Nagano Prefecture. The company designs and manufactures the March brand of custom rifle scopes, with products assembled in Japan using Japanese-made components. March has built its reputation around precision riflescopes for demanding sporting and competition use, with product families that include March-FX, March-X, Genesis, and High Master.

The brand is particularly known for specialized optical and mechanical designs within the riflescope category. DEON introduced its first March 40×52 mm benchrest scope in 2007, and later expanded the range with technologies such as Super ED lenses, added to March scopes in 2017. The company also developed the Genesis line with an external adjustment system and the High Master lens system using Super ED and high-refractive-index lens elements. That background places March firmly in the premium precision-optics segment, with a strong focus on exact tracking, compact engineering, and high-grade Japanese manufacture.

Warranty

March covers this riflescope for 10 years. That term suits a precision optic intended for regular field and range use, where long-term mechanical reliability and repeatable tracking matter as much as optical performance.
