MAKuick Base for Sauer 404

• Quick-release design: The MAKuick system is built for fast removal and reinstallation of an optic mount, which is useful when switching between sighting setups or transporting the rifle while keeping return-to-zero consistency in mind.
• Rifle-specific fit: This base is made for the Sauer 404 and is also compatible with the Sauer SUM mount interface, giving a precise platform that matches the rifle’s factory mounting geometry.
• Steel construction: A steel base adds rigidity and wear resistance at the contact points, helping the mount stand up to repeated attachment cycles and field use on a hunting rifle.
• 0 MOA inclination: With 0 MOA cant, the base keeps the optic in a neutral alignment that suits general hunting and everyday shooting distances without introducing built-in elevation bias.
• Low-profile one-piece format: The one-piece base layout keeps the mounting solution straightforward and compact, making it a practical choice for shooters who want a clean installation without integrated rings.

About the MAKuick Series

MAKuick is MAK’s family of quick-release mounts for rifle optics, developed for shooters who want a secure attachment with the convenience of fast removal. Within the MAK lineup, the series sits as a practical solution for hunting rifles and sporting rifles that benefit from repeatable mounting, especially when one rifle may be used with different optics or when an optic needs to be removed for transport.

The series includes one-piece variants for factory-prepared rifles as well as versions for other mounting interfaces, so the concept is adapted to the rifle rather than forced into a universal format. That rifle-specific approach matters in use: it helps maintain proper fit, keeps installation tidy, and supports consistent positioning of the optic. Across the range, quick-release operation is the defining feature, while the exact configuration varies by rifle model and interface. In practical terms, the MAKuick series is aimed at hunters and shooting-sports users who value a mount that can be detached without turning the rifle into a workshop job.

About the MAKuick Base for Sauer 404

The MAKuick Base for Sauer 404 is a rifle-specific mounting base intended for shooters who want a solid foundation for a detachable optic setup on the Sauer 404. Because it is configured for this rifle platform and listed as compatible with the Sauer SUM mount interface, it suits users who want a mount that follows the rifle’s intended geometry instead of relying on a more generic adapter solution.

Its steel construction is the key mechanical feature. In a mount base, steel is valued for stiffness and long-term durability, particularly where locking surfaces and contact areas are repeatedly engaged. That makes this base well suited to a hunting rifle that may see frequent optic changes over the course of a season. The black finish keeps the appearance discreet and matches the practical, field-oriented character of the system.

The base uses 0 MOA inclination, which means it is designed around a neutral optic position. For most general-purpose hunting and sporting applications, this is the sensible choice because it simplifies setup and keeps the sight line straightforward for typical zeroing distances. As a one-piece base without rings, it is intended as the platform element of the mounting system, giving the shooter flexibility to build the rest of the optic setup around the appropriate upper mount components.
