MAKlassic Front Pivot Base, German Claw - Suhl

• German claw front base: This front pivot base is made for the classic German claw-style mounting layout, giving a secure front engagement point that supports repeatable scope installation and removal.
• Steel construction: The steel body provides the rigidity and wear resistance needed in a high-stress mounting interface, helping the mount stay stable through repeated use.
• Part of the MAKlassic system: As a component within the MAKlassic family, it fits into a proven two-piece pivot-mount concept designed for traditional hunting rifles and break-action firearms.
• 0 MOA inclination: The neutral base angle keeps the optic aligned without built-in cant, which suits conventional sight-in setups and general hunting distances.
• Made in Germany: German manufacture reflects the precise machining and consistent fit that matter when a pivot-mount spare part must integrate cleanly with the rest of the mounting system.

About the MAKlassic Series

MAKlassic is MAK’s traditional line of two-piece pivot mounts for rifles and break-action firearms. Documented in MAK catalogues by 2019, the series is built around the classic idea of a detachable scope mount that can be removed when needed and returned to the firearm with a consistent mechanical interface. Within the range, MAK offers different mount heights and front-foot offsets, allowing the system to be adapted to different rifles and optic setups rather than forcing a one-size-fits-all solution.

The series also includes versions with rotating locks and lever locks, and MAK catalogues list configurations for specific rifle models as well as versions for scope tubes and optic rails. In practice, that makes MAKlassic relevant to hunters and traditional sporting users who want a mounting system that respects classic firearm lines while still providing precise, purpose-built fit. The emphasis is on a mechanically clean layout, durable materials, and model-specific execution rather than universal compromise.

About the MAKlassic Front Pivot Base, German Claw - Suhl

The MAKlassic Front Pivot Base, German Claw - Suhl is the forward mounting element for a classic pivot-mount arrangement. Its role is simple but critical: it forms the front engagement point that allows the optic assembly to seat correctly and pivot into position. On a traditional hunting rifle or break-action firearm, that front interface has a direct effect on how securely the mount closes and how consistently it returns to the same position after removal.

This version uses a steel construction, which is well suited to a contact surface that must resist wear over time. Steel helps the base maintain its geometry under repeated mounting cycles, which is especially important on a claw-style system where precise fit between parts matters more than quick adjustment. The black finish keeps the appearance discreet and appropriate for classic sporting rifles, while the 0 MOA inclination makes it a straightforward choice for standard optic setups without added cant.

As part of the MAKlassic family, this front pivot base is intended for users who value a traditional detachable scope-mounting concept with solid mechanical engagement. It is particularly relevant as a replacement or build component in a German claw-style setup, where correct front-base geometry is essential for dependable lock-up and clean integration with the rest of the mount.
