Kozap Slip-On Bases, CZ 550, ALFA 2-part

• ALFA quick-release pattern: This two-piece base is built around KOZAP’s ALFA concept, giving the rifle a detachable mounting platform that makes it easier to remove and refit the optic setup when the application changes.
• Rifle-specific 19 mm fit: Designed for CZ 550 and related 19 mm dovetail actions, the base matches the receiver geometry properly, which helps provide secure seating and consistent alignment.
• Two-piece layout: The split front-and-rear design keeps the loading and ejection area more open than a full-length base, while also allowing a compact, traditional mounting arrangement on hunting rifles.
• Broad upper-interface compatibility: The Ø 8 mm interface works with compatible upper parts from KOZAP and several other mount makers, making it easier to configure the rifle around preferred rings or optic adapters.
• Czech-made steel mounting solution: Made in the Czech Republic, this base is intended for practical field use where repeatable attachment, straightforward handling, and durable construction matter more than unnecessary complexity.

About the Kozap Bases Series

Kozap Bases is the rifle-specific foundation line within the company’s scope-mount catalog. The series is built around the idea that the base should match the firearm first, while the upper mounting solution can then be selected to suit the optic and the intended use. In practice, that makes the range relevant to hunters and traditional sporting-rifle owners who want a mount tailored to a particular action rather than a generic rail.

Across the series, one-piece and two-piece configurations are offered for different rifles, and some models are intended to be completed with separately selected rings or upper components. The catalog also spans both CLASSIC and ALFA designs, with ALFA models positioned as quick-release options for users who value detachable optics. That approach gives the series a practical role in hunting optics setups: the base remains matched to the rifle, while the top side of the mount can be chosen around scope diameter, optic type, or preferred interface.

About the Kozap Slip-On Bases, CZ 550, ALFA 2-part

The Kozap Slip-On Bases, CZ 550, ALFA 2-part is a rifle-specific detachable base set for the CZ 550/557 family and related 19 mm dovetail actions. Its role is straightforward: it provides the lower mounting platform for an optic setup while leaving the choice of the upper mounting elements open. That makes it especially suitable for hunting rifles where the owner wants a clean, traditional receiver profile and the flexibility to build the final mount around a preferred scope or optic interface.

The two-piece construction is important in practical use. By separating the front and rear base sections, the mount keeps the action area less obstructed than a continuous base, which suits classic bolt-action rifles well. The ALFA quick-release pattern adds another functional advantage, as it is intended for detachable mounting arrangements rather than a permanently fixed top assembly. For users who switch optics, remove a scope for transport, or want easier access to the rifle during maintenance, that design is more versatile than a simple fixed base.

Compatibility is a major strength here. The base uses a Ø 8 mm upper interface and is listed as compatible with upper parts from KOZAP as well as INNOmount, Henneberger, MAK, Mauser, Recknagel, and Dentler in the same interface pattern. In practical terms, that broadens the range of possible optic configurations without changing the rifle-side fit. Finished in black and made in the Czech Republic, this base is aimed at shooters who want a detachable mounting platform that stays close to the lines of a classic hunting rifle.
