Kite Optics K4 3-12x50i HD

• 3-12x magnification range: Covers the practical middle ground for hunting riflescopes, giving a wide enough view for shorter shots while still providing the image scale needed for careful placement at longer distances.
• 50 mm objective with 92 % light transmission: Delivers a bright, usable sight picture in poor light, helping the reticle stay easy to pick up during the first and last minutes of legal shooting time.
• Illuminated SFP reticle: The red illuminated reticle remains easy to see against dark game or shaded backgrounds, while the second focal plane layout keeps the reticle size visually consistent through the zoom range.
• Capped 0.10 MIL turrets: Protect the adjustment settings from accidental movement in the field, making this configuration well suited to hunters who want dependable zero retention rather than exposed dialing turrets.
• 30 mm nitrogen-filled tube: Combines a strong mounting platform with waterproof, fogproof and shockproof construction, so the scope stays reliable through rain, temperature changes and regular field use.

About the Kite Optics K4 Series

The Kite Optics K4 series sits in the brand’s hunting riflescope range as a straightforward, versatile line built around the needs of hunters who want dependable mechanics and practical optical performance without moving into more specialized long-range configurations. Manufactured in Japan, the K4 family uses a 30 mm tube, gas-filled construction and IPX7 waterproofing, giving the series the kind of weather resistance and mechanical stability expected from a modern field scope.

The series is intentionally compact, with two core models covering different hunting roles: a low-power option for fast shooting and a higher-magnification version for more general all-round use. Both K4 riflescopes are parallax-free at 100 m and use an illuminated 4A reticle in the second focal plane, a familiar hunting layout that keeps the sight picture uncluttered while providing a clear central aiming point in difficult light. In practice, the K4 concept focuses on useful magnification ranges, simple handling and reliable optical clarity, making the series a natural fit for stalking, high-seat hunting and mixed-distance shooting where speed and confidence matter more than constant turret work.

About the Kite Optics K4 3-12x50i HD

The Kite Optics K4 3-12x50i HD is the more versatile all-round model in the K4 family, pairing a 3-12x magnification range with a 50 mm objective lens for hunters who need one riflescope to cover varied terrain and changing shot distances. At 3x, it offers a broad enough view for woodland edges, driven game positions and quick target acquisition. At 12x, it gives the extra precision needed for deliberate shot placement across open ground or from a raised stand.

The optical setup is tuned for practical hunting use rather than bench-style complexity. 92 % light transmission, a fully multicoated optical system and an exit pupil that ranges from 9.10 mm to 4.20 mm help maintain a bright image as light fades. The 87 mm eye relief supports comfortable shooting positions and adds a useful margin on heavier calibres. A fast-focus eyepiece makes reticle adjustment quick and simple when the scope is first set up.

This model uses an illuminated second focal plane reticle with red illumination that remains visible against dark backgrounds without changing apparent size as magnification is increased. That makes it intuitive for hunters who prefer a familiar sight picture throughout the zoom range. The capped multi-turn turrets adjust in 0.10 MIL clicks, protecting zero from accidental movement during transport or field carry. With fixed parallax at 100 m, a 30 mm tube, nitrogen filling and waterproof, fogproof, shockproof construction, the K4 3-12x50i HD is built for dependable hunting use in wet weather, cold mornings and rough vehicle or rifle-case handling.

About Kite Optics

Kite Optics is a Belgian family-owned company that has developed high-precision nature-observation optics since 1992. Headquartered in Jabbeke, Belgium, the company built its reputation through field optics such as binoculars and spotting scopes, and it also produces riflescopes and red-dot sights for hunting use. Its range includes both stabilized and traditional optics, showing a strong focus on practical viewing performance and mechanical reliability in outdoor conditions.

Within hunting optics, Kite Optics organizes its riflescope offering into families such as K4, K6, B6 and B6 LR, covering general hunting through to more specialized applications. The company is also known for working with Japanese manufacturing on selected premium optics, including riflescope lines made in Japan. That combination of European product direction and Japanese optical production gives Kite a clear identity in the sport-optics market: products designed for real field use, with an emphasis on image quality, dependable mechanics and straightforward operation.
