Hello, I am considering purchasing a thermal imager/monocular HIKMICRO LYNX LH25 2.0 or a FUSION BINOCULAR HIKMICRO HABROK 4K HE25LN 940NM. Please advise me. I don’t have much experience with this type of electronics, and I’m having trouble deciding. I hunt both in the forest and in the fields. I usually hunt at times when there is still some visibility and shooting with a rifle scope is possible, so my primary goal is identification and recognition of game (even at dusk or during a full moon). Additionally, it’s useful if the thermal device can help me locate where the game is in the forest. I must admit that I am attracted to the HABROK, but I don’t really know what to expect from this thermal device. Thank you, Tomas

Dear Sir,

If you mostly hunt at shorter ranges, such as in forests, I would recommend the Hikmicro Lynx LH25 2.0. Its lower base magnification provides a much wider field of view, making it easier to detect heat signatures. In addition, it features a higher-quality thermal sensor (384×288 pixels), resulting in significantly better image quality.

If, however, you primarily hunt at longer distances or need to evaluate game antlers, the Habrok 4K HE25LN would be the better choice. This device combines thermal imaging with digital night vision, allowing you to clearly observe antlers and other colder objects in 4K quality during the night. While its thermal performance is somewhat weaker, the added night vision capability is a major advantage. Please note that in poor weather conditions, such as fog, only thermal imaging will provide reliable visibility, as night vision cannot penetrate these obstacles.

Best regards
