Hawke Vantage HD 30 6-24x50 SF Product description

  • Three Reticle Variants for Different Applications: The Vantage HD 30 6-24x50 SF is available in three reticle configurations. The LR2 Dot provides a versatile general-purpose holdover reticle for hunting and field shooting. The Mil Pro II offers MRAD-spaced holdover markings for shooters who prefer a metric measurement system and also features a zero stop elevation turret as the only variant in this lineup. The .223/.308 Marksman provides calibre-specific holdover points calculated for .223 Rem and .308 Win trajectories. All three are second focal plane designs with subtensions calibrated at 20×, the scope's designated reference magnification.
  • 24× Maximum Magnification for Extended-Range Use: The 6–24× magnification range provides a 4× zoom ratio suited to varminting, long-range hunting, and target shooting applications where higher magnification is a priority. The 6× minimum retains a usable field of view of 6.9 metres at 100 metres for moderate-range target identification, while the 24× upper end delivers the image scale needed for precise shot placement and accurate target reading at extended distances.
  • Zero Stop Elevation Turret on Mil Pro II Variant: The Mil Pro II version (art. no. 14421) is the only variant in this lineup fitted with a zero stop elevation turret — exposed, resettable, and physically prevented from rotating below the set zero, enabling a fast return to zero after dialling for distance. The windage turret is exposed and locking without a zero stop. On the LR2 Dot and .223/.308 Marksman variants, both elevation and windage turrets are exposed, locking, and resettable without a zero stop.
  • H2 Optical System with 11-Layer Fully Multi-Coated Lenses: High-grade glass with 11-layer fully multi-coated lenses provides consistent light transmission and a clear image across the full magnification range. An exit pupil of 8.3 mm at 6× supports adequate image brightness in low-light conditions at minimum magnification during early morning or late evening field sessions.
  • Dual-Colour Illumination with 5 Brightness Levels: The reticle centre is illuminated in both red and green across 5 intensity settings, with off positions between each step, controlled via a stepped rheostat. The choice between red and green illumination allows the shooter to select the colour that provides the best contrast against the current target background and ambient lighting conditions.
  • Side Focus Parallax Adjustment: The side-mounted parallax knob covers 9 metres to infinity, allowing precise parallax correction across a wide range of shooting distances without changing grip or breaking the firing position — increasingly important at the higher magnification levels used in varminting and precision target shooting where parallax errors become more apparent.
  • XL Removable Zoom Throw Lever: The included XL zoom throw lever enables rapid, positive magnification changes without breaking cheek weld — useful when transitioning between distances during a shooting session or when operating the scope while wearing gloves.
  • Sealed and Nitrogen Purged Construction: The 30mm aluminium mono-tube is fully sealed and nitrogen purged, providing waterproof, fogproof, and shockproof performance rated for all calibres — ensuring consistent optical function in rain and across rapid temperature changes between environments.

About the Vantage Series

The Hawke Vantage series is the broadest riflescope lineup in Hawke's product range, built on the H2 optical system and covering a wide variety of tube diameters, magnification ranges, and reticle configurations at an accessible price point. The Vantage range is designed for hunters, target shooters, and recreational shooters who require a reliable, versatile optic without the added cost of higher-tier optical systems.

All Vantage models feature 11-layer fully multi-coated lenses delivering consistent light transmission and a wide-angle field of view. The lineup includes configurations built on standard 1-inch, 30mm, and 34mm mono-tube chassis, covering first focal plane and second focal plane optics, side focus and fixed parallax, illuminated and non-illuminated reticles, and a broad selection of calibre-specific and universal reticle designs — covering applications from rimfire and airgun shooting through hunting to long-range precision use.

The Vantage HD 30 sub-series features a 30mm mono-tube chassis, dual-colour illumination, side focus parallax adjustment, and an XL removable zoom throw lever as standard across all models. The 6-24x50 SF is the higher-magnification configuration in the Vantage HD 30 lineup, suited to varminting, open-country hunting, and precision target shooting where extended-range capability is a priority.

About the Model (Hawke Vantage HD 30 6-24x50 SF)

The Hawke Vantage HD 30 6-24x50 SF is a second focal plane riflescope designed for varminting, open-country hunting, and target shooting applications where higher magnification and a side focus parallax system are required. The 6–24× magnification range provides a 4× zoom ratio starting from a moderate 6×, giving a field of view of 6.9 metres at 100 metres at minimum power for initial target identification, while the 24× upper end delivers the image scale needed for precise shot placement at extended distances.

The 50mm objective lens, combined with the H2 optical system and 11-layer fully multi-coated lenses, delivers consistent light transmission and a bright, clear image across the magnification range. An exit pupil of 8.3 mm at 6× provides adequate image brightness at minimum magnification during low-light conditions. The 90mm of eye relief is compatible with a range of centrefire rifle platforms.

Three reticle variants are available, all calibrated at 20× — the designated reference magnification for this model. The LR2 Dot (art. no. 14420) is a general-purpose holdover reticle paired with ¼ MOA click-value turrets offering 70 MOA of travel on both axes, with exposed, locking, resettable turrets on elevation and windage. The Mil Pro II (art. no. 14421) uses MRAD-spaced holdover markings with 1/10 MRAD click-value turrets offering 20 MRAD of travel; the elevation turret on this variant incorporates a zero stop mechanism for a guaranteed return to zero after dialling, while the windage turret is exposed and locking. The .223/.308 Marksman (art. no. 14422) features calibre-specific holdover points for .223 Rem and .308 Win, paired with ¼ MOA / 70 MOA exposed, locking, resettable turrets on both axes.

All variants feature reticle illumination in red and green with 5 brightness levels and off positions between each step. Side-mounted parallax adjustment covers 9 metres to infinity. The included XL zoom throw lever enables rapid magnification changes without breaking cheek weld. The mono-tube is nitrogen purged and fully sealed, providing waterproof, fogproof, and shockproof performance rated for all calibres. Overall length is 390 mm and weight is 745 g.
