Hawke Frontier Reflex Sight RMSc

• Open Reflex Design with RMSc Footprint — Purpose-Built for Pistols: Unlike enclosed red dot sights, the Frontier Reflex Sight uses an open reflex design — a single emitter projects the dot onto an open lens without an enclosed housing. At just 23 g without the base and 41 × 27 × 26 mm in body dimensions, it is an exceptionally compact and lightweight option for direct slide mounting on pistols. The built-in RMSc footprint allows direct installation on any pistol slide or optic cut machined to the RMSc standard without an adapter, while the supplied Weaver/Picatinny base extends compatibility to ARs and hunting rifles.
• Manual and Auto-Brightness Modes with A.I.M. System: The Frontier Reflex combines two illumination management systems. In manual mode, the 10-stage digital brightness control provides 8 daytime and 2 night-vision compatible settings, with the A.I.M. (Auto Illumination Mode) entering standby after 2 minutes without movement and powering on immediately when motion is detected. In auto-brightness mode, an onboard ambient light sensor continuously adjusts dot brightness to match current lighting conditions — eliminating manual brightness management entirely. Both modes are switchable at the press of a button.
• Slide-Out Battery Tray for Zero-Disruption Battery Changes: The slide-out battery tray with a captured retention screw allows the CR1632 battery to be replaced without removing the sight from the pistol slide or firearm, and without requiring a re-zero after battery replacement. This is a significant practical advantage on competition and duty pistols where the sight is mounted directly to the slide and removing it for battery access would otherwise require a full re-zeroing session.
• Steel Protective Shroud Kit Included: The package includes a steel shroud kit that surrounds and protects the open reflex body against impacts, holster wear, and debris — addressing the primary vulnerability of the open reflex design on duty and competition pistols. The steel shroud adds meaningful mechanical protection without a significant increase in footprint or weight, and is included as standard rather than an optional accessory.
• Ultra-High Efficiency LED for Multi-Year Battery Life: Paired with the A.I.M. standby system and auto-brightness mode, the ultra-high efficiency LED emitter allows the sight to operate at daylight-bright settings for over 5 years from a single CR1632 battery. This makes battery life a negligible concern for duty and competition users who need reliable, always-on performance without frequent maintenance interventions.

About the Frontier Reflex Sight Series

The Hawke Frontier Reflex Sight series is Hawke's dedicated open reflex sight range, built on the H7 optical system and engineered for daily carry, competition, and duty pistol applications, while also providing a capable solution for AR and hunting rifle use. The series is designed for shooters who require a lightweight, low-profile optic that mounts directly to the pistol slide or firearm rail without adding meaningful bulk or weight to the platform.

All Frontier Reflex Sight models are built from high-grade aluminium, feature the RMSc direct footprint for slimline pistol installation, and are supplied with a steel protective shroud kit to address the vulnerability of the open reflex design to hard daily use. The combination of manual 10-stage digital brightness control with night-vision compatible settings, A.I.M. standby mode, and an auto-brightness sensor makes the illumination management of the Frontier Reflex one of the most comprehensive available in the class. The slide-out battery tray design is a consistent feature across the series, enabling battery replacement without sight removal or re-zeroing on all models.

About the Model (Hawke Frontier Red Dot Reflex Sight Weaver / RMSc)

The Hawke Frontier Red Dot Reflex Sight Weaver / RMSc is an open reflex sight designed for competition shooters, duty carriers, and hunters who require a purpose-built pistol optic that can also be deployed on ARs and hunting rifles via the supplied Weaver base. At 23 g without the base and 41 × 27 × 26 mm in body dimensions, the sight adds minimal weight and footprint to any platform — a meaningful characteristic on carry pistols where overall weight and holster compatibility are practical concerns.

The 3 MOA red dot provides a fast, clearly visible aim point for close to medium-range shooting across all intended platforms. Illumination is managed through two switchable modes: manual mode with a 10-stage brightness control including 8 daytime and 2 night-vision compatible settings, with the A.I.M. system entering standby after 2 minutes without motion; and auto-brightness mode, where an onboard sensor continuously adjusts dot intensity to match ambient light without any manual input. The ultra-high efficiency LED emitter enables a battery life of over 5 years at daylight brightness from a single CR1632.

The built-in RMSc footprint allows direct mounting on any RMSc-compatible pistol slide or plate. The supplied Weaver/Picatinny base enables installation on standard rail systems. The slide-out battery tray with captured retention screw provides battery access without removing the sight or re-zeroing. The supplied steel shroud kit provides mechanical protection against impacts and holster wear. The sight is parallax-free from 9 metres to infinity and the 1 MOA click-value turrets allow precise zeroing. The aluminium body is shockproof and waterproof, rated for all calibres.

About Hawke

Hawke Optics is a British optics brand registered in England and Wales, with products distributed across Europe, North America, and international markets. The company produces a broad range of optical products including riflescopes, airgun scopes, crossbow scopes, red dot sights, reflex sights, binoculars, spotting scopes, and laser rangefinders, covering applications from hunting and precision shooting to nature observation and marine use.

Hawke organises its product lineup into distinct optical system tiers — from the entry-level H2 through H5 to the flagship H7 — with each tier reflecting the glass specification, coating technology, and feature level of the products within it. The Frontier series represents the H7 tier, Hawke's highest optical specification, and covers riflescopes, enclosed red dot sights, reflex sights, binoculars, spotting scopes, and laser rangefinding binoculars across the full product range.
