Fortuna General 50L6 Thermal Imaging Monocular

• 640x480 thermal sensor: The higher-resolution microbolometer gives the Fortuna General 50L6 Thermal Imaging Monocular a clearer thermal picture for spotting animals, people, and heat sources at longer distances and with better target definition.
• 50 mm F 1.2 objective: A fast lens gathers more thermal energy, which helps the device maintain image contrast in poor weather and at night, while also supporting the stated 2000.00 m detection range.
• 800x600 AMOLED display: The AMOLED screen presents a crisp viewing image with strong contrast, making prolonged observation easier and helping fine heat signatures stand out more naturally.
• Wide 12.30 ° field of view: A broad viewing angle is useful when scanning woodland edges, open fields, or large sectors quickly, so the user can cover more ground with less panning.
• Compact weather-resistant housing: The rubberized, waterproof, nitrogen-filled body is built for field carry in cold, wet, and changeable conditions, while the central diopter adjustment keeps setup straightforward.

About the Fortuna General Series

Fortuna General is a family of compact thermal scopes and monoculars intended for short- and medium-range use. Within the Fortuna lineup, the series sits as a practical platform for users who want a manageable housing size without giving up the core thermal performance needed for hunting optics and field observation. The range includes models with 384 × 288 or 640 × 480 sensors, all built around a 17 μm pixel pitch, with 25 mm, 40 mm, and 50 mm lens options to suit different viewing distances and field-of-view priorities.

A shared trait across the series is its rubberized aluminum housing and waterproof construction, giving the devices a durable, field-oriented character. Fortuna also equips the General line with automatic silent calibration and an 800 × 600 AMOLED display, a combination that supports discreet use and a clear viewing image in changing outdoor conditions. The series is designed for flexible use: General models can serve as handheld thermal devices or be configured as thermal sights, which makes the platform relevant to both observation and shooting applications.

About the Fortuna General 50L6 Thermal Imaging Monocular

The Fortuna General 50L6 Thermal Imaging Monocular combines a 640x480 microbolometer with a 50.00 mm F 1.2 objective, giving this model a strong balance between detection reach and practical field detail. With a stated 2000.00 m detection range, it is suited to scanning open ground, checking distant tree lines, and locating heat sources well before they come into normal visual range. The 17.00 μm pixel pitch and 50.00 mK temperature sensitivity help the device separate subtle temperature differences, which is especially useful when the target is partly screened by vegetation or when ambient contrast is low.

Its 2.10 x magnification and 12.30 ° field of view make the 50L6 a versatile handheld thermal monocular. The image is wide enough for efficient searching, yet still provides enough native magnification to identify points of interest without immediately sacrificing situational awareness. The 800x600 AMOLED display supports comfortable viewing with strong perceived contrast, while the 52.00 mm eye relief and -5 / +5 diopter range help adapt the eyepiece to different users.

In practical use, the device is built for demanding weather and temperature swings. The housing is waterproof, fogproof, and nitrogen-filled, with a rubberized exterior that improves grip in rain or cold conditions. Silent calibration avoids the distraction of audible shutter noise, and the 5.00 h battery life on CR123A power keeps the monocular suitable for mobile observation sessions where compactness matters as much as image quality.

About Fortuna

FORTUNA is a Russian manufacturer focused on thermal imaging devices for hunting, night shooting, and sport shooting. The FORTUNA trademark was registered in 2010, and the company’s thermal imagers are produced at LLC Modul in Moscow, Russia. Its product range covers thermal sights, monoculars, binoculars, and clip-on attachments, showing a clear specialization in observation and aiming systems built around thermal technology.

Beyond hardware, Fortuna also develops software for its products, which is relevant in a category where image processing, calibration behavior, and interface logic strongly affect field usability. Within the brand’s catalog, the General line is positioned for short- and medium-range work and is offered in both 384 × 288 and 640 × 480 configurations. Fortuna also uses electronic silent calibration in this family, a practical feature for users who value discreet operation during observation or shooting.
