ERA-TAC Folding rear-sight

• Spring-loaded folding mechanism: the sight folds flat when not needed, helping protect it from knocks during transport or hard field use while keeping a backup aiming option ready on the rifle.
• Ultra-low profile design: with a folded height of only 9 mm / 0.35”, it stays out of the way under optics and reduces the chance of snagging on gear.
• Two ghost rings on the same plane: the 5 mm and 1.7 mm apertures let the shooter balance speed and precision without changing the basic sight picture.
• Tool-free height-adjustable, replaceable sight system: setup and maintenance are simpler in the field, and worn or damaged components can be replaced without rebuilding the whole sight arrangement.
• Corrosion-resistant anodized aluminum construction: the black anodized aluminum body is built for regular outdoor use and resists moisture and harsh conditions better than untreated metal parts.

About the ERA-TAC Accessories Series

ERA-TAC Accessories is the support line around the brand’s tactical mounting system, created to extend rifles with practical, hard-use components rather than cosmetic add-ons. Introduced as part of the ERATAC range in 2010, the series covers adapters, sling-related accessories, angle cosine indicators, rail-mounted components and backup sights for shooters who want a rifle to remain functional even when a primary optic is removed or disabled. A defining trait of the series is its focus on compatibility with modern mounting standards and modular interfaces, including solutions built around the brand’s UNIVERSAL interface.

Within this family, the backup-sight models stand out for their spring-loaded folding design, their compact rail-friendly form, and their emphasis on practical serviceability. ERATAC also offers different front-sight styles and post widths, which lets the sighting setup be tailored to the rifle’s role, from general-purpose use to more deliberate aiming. Across the series, the design philosophy is straightforward: durable metal construction, low-profile geometry, and adjustments that are easy to manage without unnecessary complexity.

About the ERA-TAC Folding rear-sight

The ERA-TAC Folding rear-sight is a compact Picatinny rail backup sight intended for rifles that normally run a primary optic but still need a dependable mechanical aiming solution. As a standalone rear unit, it is well suited to builds where the shooter wants to pair it with a preferred front sight or replace an existing rear element without changing the rest of the setup. Its slim profile makes particular sense on rifles with limited rail space or on configurations where a low folded height matters under magnified optics.

The sight uses a spring-loaded folding mechanism that keeps it protected when stowed yet quick to deploy when needed. ERATAC’s two ghost rings, sized 5 mm and 1.7 mm on the same plane, give the shooter two practical sighting options: a larger aperture for faster target acquisition at closer distances and a smaller one for a more precise sight picture. The low folded height of 9 mm / 0.35” helps the sight sit unobtrusively on the rifle, while the same-height relationship to a standard AR15 sight supports integration on familiar platforms.

ERATAC also builds the unit around field durability. The aluminium body with black anodized finish keeps weight sensible while improving resistance to wear and corrosion, including use in demanding weather. The replaceable, height-adjustable sight system adds practical long-term value because the setup can be maintained or adapted without complicated tools.
