EAW pivot mount, 26 mm, Zastava M70

• Repeatable return to zero: The EAW pivot design lets the scope be removed and reattached without shifting point of impact, which is especially useful when switching between optics or returning to open sights.
• 26 mm ring configuration: Built for classic 26 mm scope tubes, this version suits traditional hunting optics while giving the secure, model-specific fit expected from a dedicated steel mount.
• Rifle-specific Zastava M70 interface: The mount is matched to the Zastava M70 bolt action, helping ensure correct positioning, reliable lock-up and a clean installation on the rifle.
• Steel construction: A steel mount resists wear at the contact surfaces and stands up well to repeated removal and reinstallation over long service use.
• Adjustable mount-foot fit: The pivot-mount system uses adjustable front and rear foot fits, supporting precise installation and the consistent alignment needed for dependable repeatability.

About the EAW Pivot Mounts Series

EAW Pivot Mounts are a long-established part of the German maker’s hunting and sporting mount range, with the design introduced more than 50 years ago. The series is built around a simple idea: a riflescope mount should be easy to remove when needed, then return to the rifle with repeatable point of impact. That makes the system particularly useful for shooters who alternate between a day scope, a second optic or the rifle’s original iron sights.

A defining feature of the series is its adjustable front and rear mount-foot fit, which supports careful installation on common rifle platforms. EAW positions these mounts for many popular rifles and long guns, and the system has remained relevant because it combines a traditional appearance with practical flexibility in the field. Within the wider EAW lineup, the pivot mount sits as a classic quick-detach solution for hunters and shooters who value a secure mechanical lock-up, repeatable reattachment and compatibility with different optic formats, including ring and rail-based configurations depending on the model.

About the EAW pivot mount, 26 mm, Zastava M70

The EAW pivot mount, 26 mm, Zastava M70 is a rifle-specific quick-detach scope mount made for shooters using a Zastava M70 bolt action with a traditional 26 mm riflescope tube. Its main advantage is not just that it holds an optic securely, but that it allows the scope to be removed and reinstalled while maintaining the consistent positioning needed for dependable zero retention. For a hunting rifle, that is valuable when the scope must come off for transport, when open sights need to remain accessible, or when one rifle is used with more than one optic.

The use of steel construction is important in this type of mount because the pivoting and locking contact surfaces are subject to repeated engagement over time. Steel helps the mount stay stable through long-term use and supports the precise fit expected from a detachable mounting system. Because this version is configured specifically for the Zastava M70 platform, it is designed around the geometry of that action rather than as a generic one-size-fits-many solution.

In practical terms, this mount suits classic hunting optics particularly well. The 26 mm ring format makes it a natural match for older European-style scopes and other slim-tube designs, while the pivot system preserves the flexibility that has made this mounting style popular for traditional sporting rifles. The result is a mount that combines a clean profile, repeatable handling and the durable feel of an all-steel assembly.

About EAW

EAW traces its origins to 1919, when Ernst Apel founded the company in Würzburg, Germany. The business later became associated with the EAW name after the EDW brand was changed to mean Ernst Apel Würzburg. Since 1951, riflescope mount development and production have been the company’s primary focus, which explains the brand’s strong reputation in this category.

Today, Ernst Apel GmbH is headquartered in Eibelstadt, Germany, and the company’s range includes pivot, slide-on or roll-off, and claw mounts for sporting rifles, along with thermal imaging products. EAW developed its first riflescope mounts in 1945, and its product philosophy has long centered on precise, model-specific mounting solutions for hunters and shooters who need secure fit, repeatable alignment and durable all-metal construction.
