Dörr XS-2 Mini Knife Sharpener

• Two-stage sharpening system: The XS-2 combines a coarse carbide slot for restoring a dull edge with a fine ceramic slot for finishing, so routine touch-ups and more worn blades can both be handled with one compact tool.
• Compact pocket format: Its small size makes it easy to keep in a kitchen drawer, backpack or camping kit, which means a practical sharpening tool is close at hand instead of being left at home.
• Useful for field and household knives: The design suits household knives as well as hunting and fishing knives, making it a versatile choice for general maintenance across everyday and outdoor gear.
• Keychain attachment: A small chain allows the sharpener to be clipped to a key ring, helping keep it accessible for travel, camp use or quick edge maintenance in the field.
• Lightweight build: At 36.00 g, the sharpener adds very little weight to a pack or pocket, which matters when carrying compact outdoor accessories.

About the Dorr Acessories Series

Dorr Acessories is a broad utility-focused product family that sits alongside DÖRR’s optics and outdoor equipment. Rather than concentrating on one single category, the series covers practical supporting items designed for transport, protection and everyday field use. That approach makes it relevant to users who carry binoculars, hunting gear and general outdoor equipment and want simple accessories that are easy to integrate into an existing kit.

Within the range, DÖRR places emphasis on functional everyday design and straightforward materials chosen for regular use. The series includes products such as protective cases and carry solutions, showing a clear focus on gear that supports mobility and handling rather than adding unnecessary complexity. In practice, the line is aimed at owners of outdoor and hunting equipment who need compact, useful add-ons that travel well and fit naturally into a field bag, vehicle kit or home storage setup. The result is a series defined by practicality, compact formats and accessories that complement DÖRR’s wider outdoor and optics offering.

About the Dörr XS-2 Mini Knife Sharpener

The Dörr XS-2 Mini Knife Sharpener is built for users who want a simple sharpening tool that can be carried easily and used without setup. Its main advantage is the two-slot sharpening layout: the coarse slot with carbide blades is intended for the first stage of edge restoration, while the fine ceramic slot refines the edge for a cleaner finish. In practical use, that means the sharpener can handle both quick maintenance and the first step of reviving a blade that has become noticeably dull.

The compact body is especially useful for mixed home and outdoor use. It fits naturally in a kitchen drawer, but its small dimensions also make sense in a backpack, camping kitchen or hunting pack where space is limited. The added chain extends that portability further by allowing the sharpener to ride on a key ring, so it is easier to keep with frequently used gear instead of storing it separately.

This model is well suited to household knives, hunting knives and fishing knives, which gives it broader usefulness than a tool dedicated to one setting only. At just 36.00 g, it remains light enough for everyday carry. The plastic housing keeps the sharpener easy to handle and resistant to the minor knocks and moisture exposure typical of routine outdoor use. For users who need a compact sharpening accessory rather than a bench-mounted system, the XS-2 focuses on speed, portability and straightforward edge maintenance.

About Dorr

Dörr GmbH was founded in 1973 and is based in Neu-Ulm, Bavaria, Germany. That combination of optics, outdoor accessories and field-oriented equipment gives the brand a strong connection to users who need dependable supporting gear for hunting, observation and general outdoor use.
