Discovery Optics VT-Z 6-24x50SF FFP

• 6-24x magnification range: Covers everything from careful target acquisition at moderate distance to precise shot placement at longer range, making the scope suitable for rimfire practice, airgun use, and extended-range shooting.
• First focal plane reticle: The reticle scales with magnification, so holdover and ranging references stay consistent throughout the zoom range, which is especially useful when shooting at changing distances.
• Side focus parallax adjustment: Adjustable from 7.5 Yards to Infinity, it helps sharpen the target image and reduce aiming error at both close and long distances.
• 30 mm tube with tactical turrets: The larger tube format supports practical adjustment travel, while exposed tactical turrets allow direct elevation and windage corrections without removing caps.
• Fully Multicoated optics: The lens coatings improve light transmission and contrast, helping the image stay clearer in dim conditions and against low-contrast targets.

About the Discovery Optics VT-Z Series

The Discovery Optics VT-Z series is a family of riflescopes built around practical versatility for hunting and airgun use. The line includes both fixed-power and variable-power models, with examples ranging from compact 4x scopes to broader zoom configurations such as 3-12x, 4-16x, and 6-24x. That spread gives the series a wide role, from general field shooting to more deliberate target work where extra magnification is useful.

A defining trait of the VT-Z range is its variety of reticle and configuration choices. Discovery Optics offers the series with MIL-DOT and MIL-line reticles, and the family includes both first-focal-plane and second-focal-plane versions. Some VT-Z models also use side-parallax focusing, which is valuable when the scope is expected to handle short-range airgun distances as well as longer outdoor shots. The series also spans illuminated and non-illuminated models, so shooters can choose a simpler setup or a reticle better suited to darker backgrounds and lower light. Overall, VT-Z scopes are positioned as adaptable optics with a broad feature set rather than highly specialized competition-only designs.

About the Discovery Optics VT-Z 6-24x50SF FFP

The Discovery Optics VT-Z 6-24x50SF FFP is configured for shooters who need a wide working range from one optic. Its 6-24x magnification gives enough low-end power for deliberate field shooting while the upper end supports precise aiming on small targets or distant points of impact. Paired with a 50.00 mm objective lens, the scope maintains a useful balance between image brightness and the higher magnification needed for more exact shot placement.

The scope’s first focal plane reticle is one of its most important practical features. Because the reticle changes size with magnification, holdover references remain proportionally correct across the zoom range. That matters when the shooter wants to range, hold, or correct without being tied to one specific magnification setting. This model is non-illuminated, which keeps the layout straightforward for daylight use and avoids adding battery dependence to a scope intended for regular field work.

Its side-focus parallax adjustment, running from 7.5 Yards to Infinity, makes the VT-Z especially flexible for airgun shooting, rimfire use, and longer-range target work where parallax error becomes more noticeable. The tactical turrets use 1/8 MOA clicks and provide direct, repeatable corrections for elevation and windage, while the counter-clockwise rotation suits shooters who prefer that adjustment direction. A 30 mm tube, nitrogen filling, and waterproof, fogproof, shockproof construction round out a design meant to stay functional in variable weather and regular transport.

About Discovery Optics

Discovery Optics states that it was established in 2009 and lists its main operations in Bao'an, Shenzhen, Guangdong, China. The company focuses on rifle scopes for shooting and hunting, and its catalogue spans several scope families including XED, ED, LHD, and HD. Across that range, Discovery Optics offers both first-focal-plane and second-focal-plane reticle configurations, reflecting a product line aimed at different shooting styles and budgets rather than a single narrow niche.

Beyond conventional riflescopes, the brand also lists electro-optical sighting devices and thermal imaging solutions for hunting. That broader portfolio shows a concentration on field and aiming optics rather than general sporting goods. In practical terms, Discovery Optics is known for building accessible optics with feature sets that often mirror the needs of hunters, airgun users, and target shooters who want modern scope layouts such as side focus, tactical turrets, and FFP reticles.
