Crimson Trace LG-436 Laserguard

• Instinctive Front Activation: the laser engages with a normal firing grip, so the sight is ready as the pistol is presented without adding extra steps under stress.
• Compact Laserguard Design: the unit mounts neatly to compatible GLOCK compact and subcompact frames while leaving the pistol’s handling characteristics and most holster compatibility largely intact.
• Adjustable Windage and Elevation: point of aim can be tuned to the pistol and ammunition combination, helping maintain practical accuracy at defensive handgun distances.
• Red Class 3R Laser: the red aiming point gives a fast visual reference for close-range shooting, especially when sight alignment is slower or from unconventional positions.
• Polymer Housing: the lightweight polymer body keeps added bulk low, making the laser easier to carry daily on a handgun intended for compact defensive use.

About the Laserguard Series

Crimson Trace Laserguard units are built as compact, trigger guard-mounted handgun laser sights for shooters who want a dedicated aiming aid without changing the basic profile of their pistol. In the Crimson Trace lineup, the series sits as a streamlined alternative to grip-integrated laser systems, with an emphasis on model-specific fit, low added weight, and fast activation. A defining feature across the range is Instinctive Activation, which places the control where it can be engaged through a normal firing grip rather than through a separate, slower manual sequence.

The series is aimed primarily at defensive carry pistols and practical handgun use, where compact dimensions, secure mounting, and immediate readiness matter more than large external controls or oversized housings. Laserguard models are designed to preserve access to the pistol’s standard controls while adding a visible aiming reference for low-light work, close-range shooting, and awkward firing positions. Depending on the model, the series is offered in red or green laser configurations, but the common design philosophy remains the same: keep the unit close to the frame, maintain natural handling, and provide a laser sight that supports fast target acquisition on everyday carry and duty-style handguns.

About the Crimson Trace LG-436 Laserguard

The Crimson Trace LG-436 Laserguard is a handgun laser sight made for GLOCK compact and subcompact pistols, giving these popular carry guns a fast visual aiming reference without turning them into bulky, range-only setups. Its compact housing follows the lines of the frame closely, which helps the pistol remain practical for concealed carry and compatible with many holsters intended for subcompact GLOCK models. For a defensive handgun, that matters as much as the laser itself: the accessory needs to stay out of the way until it is needed.

The unit uses Instinctive Activation at the front, so the red laser comes on as the shooter establishes a normal grip. In practical use, this supports quicker target indexing at short range, in reduced light, or when a conventional sight picture is harder to obtain. The red Class 3R laser is paired with adjustable windage and elevation, allowing the aiming point to be matched to the pistol and chosen load rather than forcing a generic zero. The stated 0.50 MOA dot size supports a precise aiming reference for a compact defensive platform.

The LG-436 also includes a master on/off switch, which is useful for training sessions where the shooter wants to work with or without laser assistance. Its polymer construction keeps weight low, and the retractable design helps the sight stay unobtrusive on a carry pistol. Altogether, this model is configured for shooters who want a practical red handgun laser that adds speed and flexibility without changing the familiar feel of a compact GLOCK.
