Bushnell Nitro 10x36

• 10x36 configuration: This format gives the Bushnell Nitro 10x36 enough reach for scanning game, birds, or distant trail features while staying lighter and trimmer than many full-size 10x42 binoculars.
• Roof prism design: The Schmidt/Pechan roof-prism system keeps the binocular slim and easy to pack, making it practical for hiking, travel, and all-day field carry.
• Magnesium housing: A magnesium body reduces weight without giving up structural rigidity, so the binocular is easier to carry over long distances and better suited to regular outdoor use.
• 17.00 mm eye relief: Generous eye relief improves viewing comfort during extended observation and gives eyeglass wearers a better chance of seeing the full field of view.
• IPX-7 waterproof and nitrogen filled: The sealed, fogproof construction helps the binocular stay usable in rain, damp conditions, and rapid temperature changes in the field.

About the Bushnell Nitro Series

The Bushnell Nitro series is a compact roof-prism binocular family built around a straightforward idea: keep the handling quick and portable while maintaining the reach of 10x magnification. The family includes 10x25, 10x36, and 10x42 versions, giving users a choice between maximum packability, a balanced mid-size format, or a more traditional full-size hunting and observation binocular. Across the range, Bushnell uses a roof-prism layout, which keeps the shape slim and easy to carry in the field.

The Nitro line is aimed at users who need one binocular for varied outdoor work, from hunting and bird watching to hiking and general nature observation. The series uses a practical mechanical layout with center focusing, diopter adjustment, and adjustable eyecups, so it is easy to adapt to different eyesight and viewing habits. In Bushnell’s binocular lineup, Nitro models sit as versatile all-rounders that emphasize field usability, compact handling, and enough optical performance for regular outdoor use without the bulk of larger observation binoculars.

About the Bushnell Nitro 10x36

The Bushnell Nitro 10x36 stands out as the most balanced format in the Nitro family. Its 10x magnification gives enough image scale for picking apart distant detail, while the 36.00 mm objective lenses keep the binocular noticeably more compact than a typical 42 mm model. That makes it a strong fit for hunters, birders, and hikers who want extra reach but do not want a full-size binocular hanging heavily around the neck all day.

The optical layout is built around Schmidt/Pechan roof prisms and fully multicoated lenses, a combination that supports a clean, contrast-rich image in a slim body. A 112.00 m/1000m field of view is wide enough for tracking moving subjects, while the 2.00 m close focus keeps the binocular useful for nearby observation as well. With 17.00 mm eye relief and a 3.60 mm exit pupil, the Nitro 10x36 remains comfortable for longer glassing sessions and practical for users who wear glasses.

Its handling is equally important. The 320.00 g weight and 121.00 mm length make it easy to pack into a day bag or carry on a harness, and the magnesium housing helps keep that low weight without making the binocular feel fragile. Bushnell also gives it IPX-7 waterproofing and nitrogen filling, so it is better prepared for wet weather, condensation, and changing temperatures during real field use.

About Bushnell

Bushnell was founded in 1948 by Dave Bushnell, who began selling optical products from a photographic shop in Pasadena, California. The company built its reputation around practical sports optics for outdoor use and today focuses on equipment for hunting, target shooting, birding, and nature observation. Its catalog spans binoculars, riflescopes, red dot sights, rangefinders, spotting scopes, and trail cameras, reflecting a long-standing specialization in field-ready optical products.

Within that broader lineup, Bushnell is known for applying category-specific technologies such as EXO Barrier, a lens coating developed to repel water, oil, dust, and debris. The brand’s range also includes established product families such as Legend, Prime, Elite Tactical, and AR Optics, showing the breadth of its work across both observation optics and shooting equipment. Bushnell’s strength in binoculars comes from combining practical optical layouts with durable construction aimed at regular outdoor use.
