Primary Arms CLx 21mm Mini Reflex Sight Gen 2

• Micro-compact pistol fit: The compact 21mm reflex-sight format and Shield RMS-C footprint make this model well suited to slim carry pistols where low weight and a low mounting height help preserve natural handling.
• 3 MOA aiming dot: A 3 MOA dot is easy to pick up quickly at defensive distances while still remaining precise enough for careful shot placement on small targets.
• Auto Turn-Off and long battery life: With up to 40,000 hours of runtime from a CR2032 battery, the sight reduces maintenance demands and is practical for a pistol that may stay ready for long periods.
• Daylight-bright illumination: Daytime-usable illumination helps the dot stay visible in bright outdoor light, so the sight remains fast to acquire on sunny ranges or in open carry conditions.
• Lightweight sealed construction: The aluminium housing, along with waterproof, fogproof, and shockproof construction, supports dependable use on a reciprocating pistol slide and in changing weather.

About the Primary Arms Classic Series CLX Series

Primary Arms Classic Series CLX sits as the brand’s budget-focused entry tier, aimed at shooters who want dependable optics without moving into the more feature-heavy GLx or PLx families. Introduced in the company’s 2019 catalog, the CLx line was built for budget-conscious marksmen and new shooters, with straightforward controls, practical feature sets, and formats that match common real-world uses.

Within the red-dot range, the series covers several roles. The 21mm MRSc Gen 2 is intended for compact and micro-compact pistols, while the 24mm MRS Gen 2 is oriented more toward full-size pistols and competition use, and the RD-23 serves close-range carbine and shotgun applications. Current Gen 2 pistol models use AutoLive motion-sensing illumination, and they are offered with red or green dot options depending on the variant. Across the series, the design philosophy is simple: keep the optics compact, easy to mount, and easy to use, while providing the core features shooters expect for carry, training, and general range work.

About the Primary Arms CLx 21mm Mini Reflex Sight Gen 2

The Primary Arms CLx 21mm Mini Reflex Sight Gen 2 is a compact open reflex sight built around the needs of micro and slim-frame handguns. Its small footprint and very low 15.00 g weight help keep a carry pistol balanced, which matters on guns where added bulk can affect both concealment and slide behavior. The Shield RMS-C footprint also makes it relevant for handgun platforms already cut for this mounting standard.

Its 3.00 MOA dot is a practical choice for a pistol optic because it supports fast target acquisition at close range without becoming overly coarse when the shooter needs more deliberate placement. Daytime-usable illumination helps the dot remain visible in bright conditions, and the parallax-free setup reduces the need for perfect eye alignment during hurried presentations. That combination is especially useful on defensive pistols, where the sight picture is often acquired quickly rather than from a fully settled position.

The sight also emphasizes low-maintenance use. A single CR2032 battery powers the optic for up to 40000.00 h, and Auto Turn-Off helps conserve power when the sight is not in active use. The fully multicoated lens supports a clearer sight picture with better light transmission and reduced distracting reflections. For daily carry or regular training, the aluminium housing and waterproof, fogproof, and shockproof construction add the durability needed for slide-mounted use and changing weather conditions.
