Vomz P4x30 LFO Prism Scope

• Fixed 4x prism design: A fixed-power prism scope keeps the sight picture consistent and avoids the extra moving parts of a variable optic, which suits fast target acquisition at short to medium distances.
• Illuminated TPL reticle: The red illuminated reticle remains easy to pick up against dark backgrounds and in changing light, helping the shooter hold the aiming point more clearly when speed matters.
• Compact 153 mm body: The short overall length helps keep the rifle balanced and leaves room on the rail for a practical mounting setup on hunting or tactical rifles.
• Fully multicoated optics: Lens coatings improve light transmission and contrast, giving a cleaner image and helping the reticle stand out more clearly in poor weather or at dusk.
• Waterproof, fogproof and shockproof construction: The sealed, nitrogen-filled housing is built for field use, so the scope is better protected against rain, internal fogging and recoil stress.

About the Vomz Pilad P Series

The Vomz Pilad P series is a family of fixed-magnification riflescopes built around a simple, durable concept for hunting and sport shooting. In the Pilad lineup, these scopes occupy the practical end of the range: they are intended for shooters who prefer a constant magnification, straightforward handling and a mechanical layout with fewer moving parts than a variable-power optic. That approach suits rifles used for driven game, walk-up hunting and general-purpose field shooting, where reliability and a familiar sight picture matter more than frequent magnification changes.

Within the series, VOMZ has offered models in several fixed powers, including 3.5x, 4x, 8x, 10x and 12x, with reticle options such as T-post, Cross, MilDot and Parabola depending on the model. The 4x variants are especially relevant for moving targets at short and medium distances, combining enough magnification for precise aiming with a field-friendly format. The series has also been offered in illuminated and non-illuminated versions and in configurations for 26 mm or 30 mm rings, giving the Pilad P family a broad role across traditional hunting optics and simple tactical-style rifle setups.

About the Vomz P4x30 LFO Prism Scope

The Vomz P4x30 LFO Prism Scope is a fixed 4x prism scope designed for shooters who need a compact optic for short- to medium-range work without the bulk or complexity of a variable riflescope. That 4x magnification gives a useful balance: it is strong enough to define small targets more clearly than a non-magnified sight, yet still practical for moving game and fast field shooting. The prism format also helps keep the optic short, making it easier to mount on rifles where overall handling and rail space matter.

The scope uses a TPL reticle in the second focal plane, so the reticle keeps the same apparent size as the shooter works within the optic’s intended role. In practice, that gives a stable and familiar aiming picture, while the red illumination improves reticle visibility against dark animals, shaded woodland and other low-contrast backgrounds. Daytime-usable illumination adds flexibility for bright conditions, and the auto shut-off function helps avoid unnecessary power drain when the optic is left on.

Mechanically, this model is set up for straightforward field use. Capped turrets protect the adjustments from accidental movement during transport or while moving through cover, which is often preferable on a hunting optic that is zeroed and then left alone. The fixed 100 m parallax setting matches the scope’s general-purpose role, while the fast-focus eyepiece helps the shooter sharpen the reticle quickly to suit individual eyesight. A fully multicoated, nitrogen-filled, waterproof, fogproof and shockproof construction rounds out a scope intended for practical use in changing outdoor conditions.

About Vomz

VOMZ began operations in Vologda, Russia, on October 16, 1971. The company manufactures optoelectronic products for both special-purpose and civilian applications, with a product range that includes optical sights, prism sights and collimator sights. In the sporting market, VOMZ is known for producing Pilad-branded rifle scopes intended for uses such as hunting and sport shooting, giving the company a clear connection to practical field optics rather than only industrial or institutional equipment.

The company is headquartered in Vologda, Russia and forms part of the Shvabe holding within Rostec State Corporation. Its riflescope range reflects a focus on durable, serviceable designs for real firearm use, and VOMZ states that its scopes are tested against 800 g recoil loads. That background helps explain the straightforward mechanical design and field-oriented character seen across the Pilad sight range.
