UTG Responder Sling Pack, 86 cm

• 34.5 in main compartment: Sized for compact and intermediate long guns, giving the rifle enough room for secure transport without the bulk of a full-length hard case.
• Single-sling carry layout: The reversible padded shoulder strap and retention strap keep the pack stable on the back, making it easier to move through vehicles, ranges, or uneven ground with both hands free.
• Quick deployment design: A pull tab, side wraparound handle, and discreet profile help the firearm stay protected in transit while still allowing fast access when speed matters.
• Secured internal retention: Adjustable hook-and-loop retention straps and barrel catch pockets hold the firearm in place, reducing shifting during transport and helping protect mounted accessories.
• Water-resistant 1200D polyester construction: The durable outer shell stands up well to regular field and range use, while the water-resistant finish adds protection in damp weather and dirty environments.

About the Rapid Deployment Series

UTG Rapid Deployment Series soft gun cases are built for shooters who want a more mobile alternative to traditional rectangular rifle bags. The series focuses on a sling-pack format that combines long-gun transport with the handling of a tactical backpack, making it well suited to range travel, vehicle carry, and practical field movement. A defining trait of the line is its discreet exterior shape, which helps the pack look less like a conventional rifle case while still providing a dedicated compartment for the firearm and separate storage for supporting gear.

Across the series, UTG emphasizes durable polyester construction, lockable heavy-duty zippers, padded carry surfaces, and internal retention systems that keep the firearm from shifting in transit. The design philosophy is practical rather than bulky: enough structure to protect the rifle and attached accessories, but with a slimmer profile that remains easier to carry than a hard case. Front storage compartments, MOLLE-compatible webbing on selected models, and reversible shoulder-carry arrangements make the series relevant for shooters who need one bag to handle transport, organization, and quick access at the range or in the field.

About the UTG Responder Sling Pack, 86 cm

The UTG Responder Sling Pack, 86 cm is a long-gun transport bag designed around fast handling and compact carry. Its 34.5 in main compartment gives it the right footprint for many carbines and similarly sized rifles, while the sling-pack layout keeps the bag easier to manage than a wider double-rifle case. For range sessions, vehicle transport, or moving on foot between positions, that more compact format makes a real difference in how quickly the bag can be picked up, slung, and repositioned.

The pack uses a water-resistant 1200D polyester body with a padded back panel, so it is built for repeated use in rough everyday conditions rather than occasional storage only. Inside, adjustable hook-and-loop retention straps and barrel catch pockets help keep the firearm stable, which matters when the rifle carries an optic, light, or other mounted accessories that should not be knocked around in transit. The side wraparound carry handle adds a fast grab-and-go option, while the reversible padded shoulder strap and secondary retention strap help the pack ride more securely on the back.

A large front zippered pocket with MOLLE webbing and tool storage expands the pack beyond simple rifle transport. That extra organization is useful for carrying magazines, maintenance items, or other range essentials in one place. Dual heavy-duty lockable zippers round out the design, giving the bag a more secure closure for storage and travel.

About UTG

Leapers, Inc., the company behind UTG, was founded in Michigan in 1992 and is headquartered in Livonia, Michigan, United States. The company develops and manufactures optics and accessories for hunting and shooting sports, with a product range that includes riflescopes, scope rings, mounts, bipods, and soft goods such as rifle cases and packs. UTG has grown from an early focus on practical shooting accessories into a broad catalog aimed at shooters who want functional equipment for range, field, and tactical use.

Within that lineup, UTG is known for combining accessible designs with application-focused features. Leapers also expanded its manufacturing and product-development capability by establishing a UTG optics research and manufacturing center in Taiwan in 2018. That background is relevant here because the same emphasis on practical design and shooting-oriented functionality carries over from the brand’s optics and mounting products into its transport and storage solutions.
