Trijicon ACOG 4x32 BAC .223/5.56

• 4x fixed-power prism design: The fixed 4x magnification gives a clear, repeatable sight picture without the extra size and moving parts of a variable optic, making it well suited to fast handling carbines used from close range out to medium distance.
• Bindon Aiming Concept: BAC supports both-eyes-open shooting, helping the optic feel faster at short distances while still providing the precision advantage of magnification when the shot stretches out.
• Dual illuminated Donut Dot reticle: The red Donut Dot uses fiber optics and tritium for an always-on aiming point, so the reticle remains visible in changing light without relying on batteries.
• .223/5.56 BDC reticle: The reticle is calibrated for .223/5.56 and ranges to 800 meters, giving practical hold references for carbine use instead of forcing the shooter to estimate every correction.
• Compact forged-aluminum housing: At 150.62 mm and 309.00 g, this ACOG keeps weight and bulk under control while remaining waterproof, fogproof, and shockproof for hard field use.

About the Trijicon ACOG Series

The Trijicon ACOG series has been a defining part of the company’s magnified combat-optic lineup since 1987, when the first 4x32 TA01 established the concept of a compact fixed-power sight built around a prism-based layout. Rather than chasing maximum zoom range, the ACOG family is designed for shooters who need a durable optic for medium-distance engagements, with enough magnification for precise aiming and enough speed for practical carbine use.

A key characteristic of most ACOG models is their tritium and fiber-optic illumination, which keeps the reticle visible in bright daylight and low light without batteries. The range includes multiple reticle patterns, illumination colors, and caliber-specific ballistic layouts, and many versions combine bullet-drop compensation with target-ranging references. Another defining feature is the Bindon Aiming Concept, which supports aiming with both eyes open for faster target acquisition at shorter distances. Within Trijicon’s lineup, ACOG riflescopes sit between simple non-magnified sights and larger precision optics, making them a practical choice for military, law-enforcement, and civilian shooters who want a compact riflescope with proven field durability.

About the Trijicon ACOG 4x32 BAC .223/5.56

The Trijicon ACOG 4x32 BAC .223/5.56 is built around a straightforward formula: 4x magnification, a 32 mm objective lens, and a compact prism housing that keeps the optic short, light, and easy to balance on an AR-platform rifle. That combination makes it especially well suited to carbines used for defensive, duty, and practical field shooting, where the optic must stay quick at shorter distances but still give enough magnification to identify targets and place shots with confidence farther out.

This model uses Trijicon’s red Donut Dot reticle with dual illumination from fiber optics and tritium. In practice, that means the aiming point remains available without battery management, while the BAC layout helps the sight work more naturally with both eyes open during rapid transitions. The reticle is also calibrated for .223 / 5.56 and provides bullet-drop compensation out to 800 meters, giving the shooter hold references that better match the trajectory of a common carbine chambering.

Its optical format also supports practical field use. The generous 8.13 mm exit pupil helps the image stay easy to pick up, while the 12.27 m/100m field of view supports awareness around the target instead of creating a tunnel-like sight picture. With 38.10 mm eye relief, the optic remains compact and purposeful, and the forged aluminum housing, matte black finish, and waterproof, fogproof, shockproof construction underline its role as a hard-use tactical riflescope rather than a bench-only optic.

About Trijicon

Trijicon was founded in 1981 by Glyn Bindon and is based in Wixom, Michigan, United States. In 1985, the company adopted the name Trijicon, combining “tritium” and “icon,” a reflection of the illumination technologies that became central to its identity. Trijicon develops aiming systems for military, law enforcement, hunting, and shooting use, with product lines that include riflescopes, red dot sights, electro-optics, and iron sights.

In the riflescope category, Trijicon is especially known for the ACOG, introduced in 1987, and for its long-running work with tritium, fiber-optic, and LED illumination. The company’s optics have also seen extensive institutional use, including ACOG models adopted by the U.S. Marine Corps as the Official Rifle Combat Optic. That background gives Trijicon a strong reputation for building compact, durable aiming systems designed around practical field use rather than purely sporting applications.
