Steyr Arms 2 Piece Pivot mount without Bases for Steyr SBS, 30 mm

• Pivot quick-detach design: The two-piece pivot layout lets the optic be removed and reattached in a repeatable way, which is useful when switching between sighting setups or transporting the rifle more compactly.
• 30 mm ring interface: Built for 30 mm scope tubes, this mount supports a wide range of hunting optics while keeping the installation matched to the rifle’s original pivot system.
• Made for Steyr SBS-pattern rifles: Compatibility with the SBS-System, Mannlicher System, Luxus System-Alt, SM12 and CL II ZF mounts makes it a practical choice for owners of older and newer Steyr hunting rifles using the original pivot standard.
• 20 MOA inclination: The built-in 20 MOA cant preserves more elevation adjustment in the riflescope, which is helpful when zeroing and dialing for longer shooting distances.
• Low-profile black finish: The black finish keeps the mount visually discreet on a hunting rifle and pairs well with modern scope bodies and factory rifle styling.

About the Steyr Arms Mounts Series

Steyr Arms Mounts are designed as dedicated rifle accessories for attaching optical sights to compatible STEYR rifles. Within the company’s broader hunting and sporting rifle ecosystem, this series focuses on giving the shooter a mounting solution that matches the geometry and intended use of the rifle rather than relying on a generic one-size-fits-all approach. That matters on hunting rifles, where secure fit, sensible optic height and dependable return to position are often more important than sheer modularity.

The series includes solutions built around established STEYR mounting concepts as well as the more recent Monobloc Flex Mount approach, which uses one base with interchangeable upper parts. STEYR also lists upper parts for 30 mm rings and for rail-equipped optics from brands such as Zeiss and Swarovski, showing that the range is meant to cover different optic formats without abandoning rifle-specific fit. Across the series, the emphasis is on practical integration with STEYR hunting rifles, clean handling and the option to use quick-detach style mounting where the rifle and optic setup call for it.

About the Steyr Arms 2 Piece Pivot mount without Bases for Steyr SBS, 30 mm

The Steyr Arms 2 Piece Pivot mount without Bases for Steyr SBS, 30 mm is a rifle-specific optic mount intended for shooters who already use the Steyr Original Pivot Scope Mounts interface and want a matching upper assembly for a 30 mm riflescope. Because it is supplied without bases, it is particularly relevant for replacing or updating the upper mount portion on a compatible rifle rather than converting the rifle to a different mounting standard.

The pivot format is well suited to traditional hunting rifles because it combines a secure mechanical lockup with the convenience of removing the scope when needed. In practice, that can make transport easier, allow access to alternative sighting arrangements, or simplify maintenance and storage. The two-piece construction also keeps the setup aligned with the classic profile of STEYR sporting rifles instead of adding unnecessary bulk.

A key functional detail is the 20 MOA inclination. On a scoped hunting or precision-oriented rifle, this forward cant helps preserve more of the optic’s internal elevation range for distance shooting. That gives the shooter more usable adjustment when zeroing and dialing at extended ranges, especially with cartridges and rifles capable of stretching beyond ordinary hunting distances. The stated compatibility with the SBS-System, Mannlicher System, Luxus System-Alt, SM12 and CL II ZF mounts makes this mount especially relevant for owners of several generations of STEYR rifles who want to stay within the original pivot-mount concept.
