What footprint is the SIS2, does it share it with any other optics or are there any adapter plates available to use this on other footprint platforms?

by Kyle

Dear Sir!

This red dot has a unique mounting standard we named: Shield SIS/CQS mounting standard.

You can find all mounts that Shield produces for these red dot sights here: https://www.optics-trade.eu/en/mounts/shopby/manufacturer-shield_sights/compatibility_above-shield_sis_cqs_mounting_standard.html

The available adapter plate for mounting it to Aimpoint Micro standard can be found here: https://www.optics-trade.eu/en/shield-sights-aimpoint-t1-t2-adapter-plate-for-sis-cqs.html

Good morning, sis2 can be fitted onto a Glock 43X mos without any modifications & no adaptor plate required just like the RMSc? Thank you & looking forward to your reply soon.

by Dennis

Dear Sir,

thank you for contacting us.

Unfortunately, this red dot sight will not fit the Glock 42X MOS straightforwardly on the action of the handgun as it doesn't have the same footprint as the RMSc red dot sight.

Shield SIS is shown to be unavailable- discontinued by Optics Planet. You say it is available after a month or more wait. Is this still true? When will the Shield SIS2 be available? Both SIS and SIS2 not available on Shield's website. Shield SIS is shown to be unavailable- discontinued by Optics Planet. You say it is available after a month or more wait. Is this still true? Hello! I have a shield SIS mount as well an an RMS/SMS mount both for my HK SP5K. I was impressed by their mounts, but not by their optics. I have a Trijicon SRO which I love. Do you think a gunsmith would be able to fit that on one of my should MP5 mounts? That would be such an ideal combination but ShieldSights haven't been emailing me back. Any help at all is appreciated thank you so much for all your in-depth work on these optics!

by Ryan

Dear Sir,

thank you for contacting us.

Please note that the adapter to adapt the Shield Sights SIS or CQS (these share the same mounting footprint, and it is not the same as the likes of RMS, RMSc, SMS, and SMSc red dot sights) to a Trijicon SRO/RMR mount is not available for purchase per to see. Technically what you would require would be a converter (adapter plate) from a Shield Sights SIS to the Trijicon RMR, which we don't have in our offer and frankly, we cannot think of anyone that would have it.

In our opinion, the best way is to contact a highly skilled gunsmith to design the adapter plate according to the mounting footprints of the Shield SIS and Trijicon SRO red dot sights mounting platforms.

Worst optic ever

By far the worst optic I’ve ever used in my life. Half of the time it doesn’t even function, and has been to the factory once already for repair. After receiving it back, I mounted it up and was disappointed to see that it now has a different issue where it shuts off after a shot is fired (this is a 223 rifle so almost no recoil).

Shield as well as optics trade have been helpful, but I would never recommend this optic to anyone
