Seissiger CLASSIC Special-Cam 3

• 12 MP Photos with Full HD Video: The camera captures still images at up to 12 megapixels (4000 x 3000 px) and Full HD video clips with audio, giving a clear, detailed record of animal activity in the monitored area.
• Invisible 940 nm Infrared Flash: The black, no-glow infrared LED flash illuminates the scene up to 25 meters at night without emitting visible light, so wildlife is not disturbed or alerted to the camera's presence.
• Long Standby Time on AA Batteries: Powered by 12 AA batteries, the camera can remain active in the field for up to 6 months on a single set, reducing the need for frequent battery changes and site visits.
• Weatherproof, Camouflaged Housing: The durable plastic housing uses rubber seals and a camouflage finish to withstand outdoor conditions while remaining discreet when mounted in the field.
• Multi-Shot Trigger with Data Stamp: Each trigger event can capture multiple consecutive photos, automatically stamped with date, time, moon phase, temperature, and battery status, giving useful context for every recorded observation.

ABOUT THE SPECIAL-CAM SERIES

The Special-Cam series is Seissiger's line of trail and observation cameras, developed for hunters and land managers who need dependable, unattended monitoring of game movement across a hunting ground or feeding area. Cameras in the series are designed to be mounted on a tree or post and left in place for extended periods, triggering automatically when motion is detected within range.

The series is built around a combination of high-resolution photo capture, Full HD video recording, and an invisible infrared flash, allowing cameras to document both daytime and nighttime activity without disturbing the animals being observed. A weatherproof, camouflage-patterned housing protects the electronics from rain, humidity, and temperature swings typical of outdoor placements throughout the hunting season.

Special-Cam models are set up and reviewed directly through an on-board color display and menu system, without requiring a separate computer or app in the field. Power is supplied by standard AA batteries, with an external power connection available for installations where longer, uninterrupted operation is needed. Within the lineup, the Special-Cam 3 Classic represents the standard, non-connected model, intended for straightforward SD-card-based monitoring.

ABOUT THE MODEL (SEISSIGER SPECIAL-CAM 3 CLASSIC)

The Seissiger Special-Cam 3 Classic is a robust, weatherproof trail camera built for reliable, unattended monitoring of game trails, feeding sites, and hunting grounds. It stores all recorded photos and videos directly to an SD card, making it a straightforward option for hunters who want dependable results without a mobile data connection.

Motion in front of the camera is detected by a passive infrared sensor, which triggers the recording of a photo at up to 12 megapixels or a Full HD video clip with audio. Multiple consecutive photos can be captured per trigger event, increasing the chance of a usable image of a moving animal. Every image is automatically stamped with date, time, moon phase, temperature, and battery status, giving the user useful context for each sighting without extra note-taking.

At night, the 940 nm infrared flash illuminates subjects up to 25 meters away without a visible glow, keeping the camera's operation unnoticed by animals passing through the field of view. The 2-inch color TFT display allows images and settings to be reviewed directly on the camera in the field, without needing to remove the SD card.

Power comes from 12 AA batteries, supporting standby times of up to 6 months between changes, with an external 6V connection available for setups requiring extended, uninterrupted runtime. The weatherproof, camouflage-patterned housing is sealed against rain and humidity, allowing the Special-Cam 3 Classic to be left mounted in the field for the full duration of the observation or hunting season.
