Rusan Picatinny rail - Remington 700 LA, Mauser M18

• Steel one-piece construction: The steel body gives this Picatinny rail the rigidity needed to keep an optic stable under recoil and repeated use, which helps preserve zero on long-action hunting rifles.
• Direct-fit long-action footprint: Built for the Remington 700 LA and a broad group of compatible long-action rifles, this rail provides a straightforward mounting interface without the complexity of improvised adapters.
• Picatinny interface: A full Picatinny top profile makes it easier to position riflescopes, red dots, or other sighting accessories for proper eye relief and balanced rifle handling.
• Low 8.00 mm BH height: The relatively low profile helps keep the optic closer to the bore, supporting a more natural cheek weld and a cleaner overall rifle setup.
• Broad platform compatibility: In addition to the Remington 700 LA and Mauser M18, the same rail pattern fits numerous related actions, making it a practical choice for rifles that share this mounting geometry.

About the Rusan Series

Rusan Picatinny rails are built as practical mounting solutions for shooters who want a secure, standardized optic interface on hunting and sporting rifles. Within the company’s lineup, these rails sit alongside scope rings, quick-detach mounts, and adapter systems, giving users a way to convert rifle-specific receiver patterns into the widely used Picatinny standard. That makes them relevant for traditional riflescopes, compact red dot sights, and other sighting accessories that rely on repeatable cross-slot positioning.

The series is defined by a straightforward mechanical approach: a rifle-specific base geometry, durable metal construction, and dimensions matched to the action it is intended for. In practice, that means the rail is designed to provide a stable foundation rather than add unnecessary bulk. For hunting rifles and general-purpose shooting setups, this type of mount is valued for its ability to simplify optic selection, improve mounting flexibility, and support a consistent shooting position. Rusan’s rail designs are especially useful for shooters who may change optics over time but want to keep a familiar and proven mounting standard on the rifle.

About the Rusan Picatinny rail - Remington 700 LA, Mauser M18

The Rusan Picatinny rail - Remington 700 LA, Mauser M18 is a direct-fit steel base made for long-action rifles that use this receiver pattern. Its main role is simple but important: it creates a stable Picatinny mounting platform so the rifle can accept a wide range of optics with consistent alignment and secure clamping. For shooters building a hunting rifle, a general-purpose field rifle, or a practical long-action setup, that flexibility matters because optic choice can change while the mounting standard stays the same.

The 160.00 mm length provides useful mounting space for positioning scope rings where they best suit the optic and the rifle’s stock geometry. That helps when setting eye relief correctly, especially on larger riflescopes or when balancing the scope position around bolt handle clearance and shooting comfort. The 8.00 mm BH height keeps the rail relatively low over the receiver, which supports a more natural head position and can reduce the need for excessively high rings.

Its steel construction and 130.00 g weight reflect a design focused on strength and stability rather than minimum mass. That makes sense on rifles such as the Remington 700 LA and Mauser M18, where a dependable mounting base is often preferred for repeated field use. The rail also fits a broad list of compatible long-action models, which adds practical value for shooters working with shared action patterns across different rifle brands.

About Rusan

The Rusan family’s metalworking business dates to 1983, giving the company a long manufacturing background before it expanded deeper into shooting accessories. Rusan-Mikron is based in Marija Bistrica, Croatia, and its product focus centers on precision-made mounting solutions for sporting and hunting firearms. The company produces scope mounts, scope rings, Picatinny rails, and firearm tuning products, with a range aimed at shooters who need reliable mechanical fit between rifle and optic.

Rusan is also well known for adapter systems used with modern electro-optics. Its catalogue includes adapter clamps for clip-on sights as well as adapters for night-vision and thermal-imaging devices, reflecting strong expertise in the interface between rifles, optics, and add-on observation equipment. This background is directly relevant to a product such as a Picatinny rail, where machining accuracy, fit, and repeatable alignment are the qualities that matter most.
