Recknagel Two-Piece Weaver Base for Mauser M96

1. Lightweight Aluminium Construction: These Recknagel Weaver bases are precisely machined from high-grade black anodised aluminium. This material choice ensures exceptional lightness, making them an ideal component for reducing overall rifle weight without compromising on strength or durability.

2. Precision Fit for Mauser M96: Engineered specifically for the Mauser M96 receiver, these two-piece bases provide an exact contour match. This dedicated design ensures a secure, stable, and reliable mounting platform, essential for consistent accuracy during shooting activities.

3. Optimal BH Height of 5 mm: With a BH (Base Height) of 5 mm, these bases offer a low-profile mounting solution, bringing the optic closer to the bore. This can aid in achieving a more comfortable cheek weld and a natural aiming position for the user.

4. Durable Black Anodised Finish: The bases feature a robust black anodised finish, which not only provides enhanced resistance against corrosion and wear but also delivers a non-reflective, matte surface. This is crucial for hunters and tactical users who need to avoid glare in the field.

ABOUT THE RECKNAGEL TWO-PIECE WEAVER BASE FOR MAUSER M96

The Recknagel Two-Piece Weaver Base for Mauser M96 offers a lightweight and economical solution for mounting optics on this classic rifle. Constructed from high-quality black anodised aluminium, these bases provide a robust platform while keeping the overall weight of your setup to a minimum. With a BH height of 5 mm, they ensure a low-profile attachment for various Weaver-compatible rings. While two-piece Weaver bases are often the most affordable mounting method, their installation requires significant precision to prevent scope tube stress and misalignment. We strongly recommend choosing a one-piece Picatinny rail for easier, DIY-friendly installation and greater flexibility. However, if these two-piece bases are preferred, professional gunsmith installation is crucial to correctly align them in height, longitudinal, and horizontal axes, ensuring optimal performance and preventing potential damage to your optic. This makes them suitable for budget-conscious hunters and recreational shooters who prioritise a specific setup.
