Recknagel Tip-Off Rings with Windage for 11mm Dovetail, 36 mm

• Windage-adjustable design: Built-in lateral adjustment helps align the scope with the rifle more precisely, which is especially useful on rimfire and sporting rifles with dovetail receivers where extra correction at the mount can simplify zeroing.
• 11 mm dovetail fit: This tip-off mount is made for rifles with an 11 mm dovetail, giving a direct and compact mounting solution without adding the bulk of an extra rail system.
• 36 mm ring configuration: The mount is built for optics with a 36 mm tube, providing correct support for larger-diameter scope bodies used on specialized target or sporting setups.
• Steel construction: A steel build adds rigidity and wear resistance at the contact points, helping the mount hold alignment under repeated use and during frequent handling.
• 0 MOA inclination: The straight mount geometry keeps the optic in a neutral position, which suits general hunting and sporting applications where a simple, centered setup is preferred.

About the Recknagel Tip-off Mount Series

The Recknagel Tip-off Mount series sits within the company’s scope-mount range for hunting and sporting firearms, offering a compact mounting format for rifles that use receiver dovetails rather than separate bases or rails. In this family, Recknagel produces versions for scope tubes from 26 mm to 40 mm, alongside variants with integrated interfaces for rail-equipped optics. That gives the series broad relevance across traditional sporting rifles, rimfires and specialist target setups.

The series is defined by a practical, low-profile approach. Instead of adding unnecessary bulk, these mounts are designed to place the optic directly on the rifle with a clean mechanical connection. Within the wider family, Recknagel also offers rail-interface versions for 70-degree, 45-degree Zeiss internal, Swarovski SR, S&B Convex and Weaver/Picatinny profiles, showing that the series is built around compatibility with different optic formats rather than a one-size-fits-all design. For shooters who want a straightforward dovetail mounting solution, the Tip-off line focuses on secure fit, sensible height options and a layout that matches classic European sporting rifles as well as small-bore and training platforms.

About the Recknagel Tip-Off Rings with Windage for 11mm Dovetail, 36 mm

The Recknagel Tip-Off Rings with Windage for 11mm Dovetail, 36 mm is a specialized fixed mount for rifles that combine an 11 mm dovetail receiver with an optic using a 36 mm main tube. That makes it particularly relevant for target, rimfire and sporting rifles where direct dovetail mounting keeps the overall setup slim and mechanically simple. By avoiding an added rail, the optic can sit in a cleaner, more traditional configuration that often suits lightweight rifles and classic stock designs.

What sets this version apart is its windage-adjustable construction. Lateral correction at the mount can help center the scope more effectively over the bore and reduce the need for excessive internal reticle adjustment during zeroing. In practice, that can be valuable on rifles where receiver tolerances, dovetail geometry or barrel alignment make fine left-right correction desirable. The 0 MOA inclination keeps the optic level in a neutral mounting position, which is appropriate for general field use and conventional shooting distances.

The mount is made from steel, giving it the stiffness and durability expected from a component that must maintain alignment between rifle and optic. Its black finish keeps the appearance understated and functional. For shooters using one of the many compatible 11 mm dovetail rifles, this Recknagel mount provides a direct, robust way to secure a 36 mm scope tube while retaining the practical benefit of windage adjustment.

About Recknagel

Recknagel began in 1867, when Adolf Recknagel started manufacturing firearm sights in Albrechts near Suhl in Thuringia. The company developed into a German specialist for firearm and riflescope mounting systems, sights and hunting accessories, with a product range that includes scope mounts, Picatinny rails, triggers, safeties and silencers. This long focus on the mechanical interface between rifle and optic is what makes the brand especially relevant in the mounts category.

In more recent years, Recknagel expanded its portfolio with the ERATAC line of tactical mounts and accessories in 2010, and added lightweight hunting silencers in 2016. The company relocated from Schweinfurt to Bergrheinfeld in 2006, and Dr. Moritz Fehrer acquired Recknagel in 2022. Across traditional hunting mounts and more modern tactical systems, the brand is known for German-made solutions built around precise fit, repeatable alignment and application-specific compatibility.
