Recknagel UNIVERSAL-Interface Aluminum Scope Ring, 30mm

• UNIVERSAL interface: The ring provides a stable mounting point for Picatinny rails and dedicated adapters, making it easier to add a red dot sight or other compact accessories directly on the riflescope.
• 30 mm scope-tube fit: Built for 30 mm riflescope tubes, it gives a secure and properly matched clamping surface that helps protect the optic while keeping the accessory mount stable.
• Freely selectable interface position: The interface can be oriented around the scope tube during installation, which helps place an attached accessory where it is easiest to reach and least likely to interfere with the rifle setup.
• Aluminium construction: The lightweight aluminium body keeps added mass low at only 50.00 g, which matters when adding accessories without making the rifle feel unnecessarily top-heavy.
• Made in Germany: German manufacture and Recknagel’s focus on mounting systems make this ring a practical choice for shooters who want precise fit and consistent mechanical quality in a small accessory part.

About the Recknagel Accesories Series

Recknagel Accesories covers the company’s broader range of mounting-related parts and hunting-weapon accessories, extending beyond complete scope mounts into the smaller components that make a rifle setup more adaptable. Within this family, the focus is on practical hardware for hunting and sporting firearms, including mounts, rails, accessories and spare parts that let users tailor an optic installation to a specific rifle and use case.

One part of the series is the group of aluminum scope rings with UNIVERSAL interface. These rings are designed to clamp either to a scope’s middle tube or objective and provide an attachment point for Picatinny rails and other adapters. A key characteristic of the UNIVERSAL interface concept is installation flexibility: the attachment position around the scope tube can be chosen during mounting, which helps when space is limited or when an accessory needs to sit at a particular angle. Across the series, the design philosophy is straightforward and mechanical rather than decorative, with compact dimensions, low added weight and compatibility with modular add-on parts that expand what a riflescope can carry.

About the Recknagel UNIVERSAL-Interface Aluminum Scope Ring, 30mm

The Recknagel UNIVERSAL-Interface Aluminum Scope Ring, 30mm is a compact mounting accessory for shooters who want to add capability to a riflescope without changing the main optic mount. It clamps to a 30 mm scope tube and adds Recknagel’s UNIVERSAL interface on top, creating a secure base for compatible rails or adapter plates. In practical terms, that allows a rifle to carry a miniature red dot sight or other compact accessory in a position that stays close to the optic and uses space efficiently.

A major advantage of this ring is the ability to choose the radial position of the interface during installation. That matters when setting up a hunting or tactical rifle, because accessory placement affects sight access, handling and clearance around the action and turrets. Instead of forcing one fixed orientation, the ring lets the installer place the interface where it best suits the rifle and the shooter’s preferred setup.

The ring is made of aluminium, which keeps weight down to 50.00 g. That low mass is important on a scope-mounted accessory, since extra weight high on the rifle can affect balance more than weight added elsewhere. The black finish keeps the appearance discreet and matches most modern riflescopes and mounts. As part of a system compatible with the ERA-TAC Universal Interface, this ring is aimed at users who want a modular way to expand a riflescope with additional aiming or accessory options while keeping the installation compact and mechanically simple.

About Recknagel

Recknagel is a German manufacturer of firearm and riflescope mounting systems, sights and hunting accessories. The company’s history goes back to 1867, when Adolf Recknagel began manufacturing firearm sights in Albrechts near Suhl, Thuringia. Over time, the product range expanded from sights into a broad selection of scope mounts, Picatinny rails, triggers, safeties and other hunting-related components.

The company relocated from Schweinfurt to Bergrheinfeld in 2006, and in 2010 it introduced the ERATAC line for tactical mounts and accessories. That background is relevant here because Recknagel is especially well known for the mechanical side of rifle setup: precise interfaces, repeatable mounting solutions and a wide catalog of parts for both hunting and sporting firearms. In 2022, the company was acquired by Dr. Moritz Fehrer, continuing a long-established German focus on mounting hardware and firearm accessories.
