Pachmayr D752B Decelerator Old English Pad

• Decelerator material: reduces felt recoil more effectively than a hard buttplate, helping keep the rifle or shotgun steadier in the shoulder and more comfortable through long shooting sessions.
• Old English profile: gives the pad a classic, rounded shape that suits traditional sporting stocks while still adding modern recoil control.
• Grind-to-fit design: allows the pad to be shaped to the stock contours for a cleaner installation and a more integrated finish on custom or replacement builds.
• Rounded edge construction: helps the pad mount smoothly to the shoulder and reduces snagging when the gun is brought up quickly in the field.
• Made in USA rubber construction: combines durable material with the resilience needed for repeated use on hunting and sporting firearms.

About the Pachmayr Accessories Series

Pachmayr Accessories covers a broad range of shooting products built around practical handling improvements, from recoil pads and rifle accessories to handgun and revolver grips. Within the Pachmayr lineup, this series is defined less by one single platform than by a consistent focus on how the firearm feels in use: better recoil management, more secure contact surfaces, and more adaptable fit for sporting and field guns.

A long-running part of the range is the company’s recoil-pad offering, including designs that use Decelerator material to soften the effect of recoil on the shoulder. In practical terms, that makes these accessories especially relevant for hunting rifles, shotguns used for upland or clay shooting, and older firearms being updated with a more forgiving buttpad. The series also reflects Pachmayr’s traditional approach to gun fit, with products that suit both classic stock lines and modern utility-focused builds. Rather than changing the character of the firearm, these accessories are meant to improve comfort, control, and day-to-day usability while remaining appropriate for regular sporting use.

About the Pachmayr D752B Decelerator Old English Pad

The Pachmayr D752B Decelerator Old English Pad is a recoil pad for shooters who want a more traditional stock appearance without giving up the practical benefit of softer recoil absorption. Its defining feature is Decelerator material, which is designed to reduce the sharpness of recoil before it reaches the shoulder. On rifles and shotguns used for repeated field shots or extended range sessions, that translates into less fatigue and a more composed shooting position.

The Old English shape gives this model its distinctive role in the Pachmayr range. Instead of a bulky or aggressively styled profile, it uses a classic outline that complements fine sporting rifles and shotguns, making it a natural fit for stock restorations, traditional hunting guns, or custom builds where appearance matters as much as comfort. Pachmayr also uses a rounded edge design, which helps the gun come to the shoulder with less drag on clothing when mounting quickly.

This model is built as a grind-to-fit pad, so it can be matched to the stock contours rather than forcing the stock to suit a fixed profile. That makes it especially useful for gunsmith installations where a cleaner, more tailored finish is the goal. With its rubber construction, 225.00 g weight, and suitability for rifles, the D752B is a straightforward upgrade for shooters who want improved recoil control in a format that still looks at home on a classic firearm.

About Pachmayr

Pachmayr was founded by Frank Pachmayr in 1929 and grew out of a gunsmithing tradition closely tied to practical firearm handling and shooting comfort. The brand became especially well known for handgun grips, recoil pads, and gunsmithing accessories, building a reputation around products that improve control and reduce shooter fatigue rather than altering the basic function of the firearm.

A key part of Pachmayr’s history in this category is the introduction of its first recoil pad in 1949, followed later by products using Decelerator material for recoil reduction. The brand joined Lyman in 1996, and Pachmayr products remain focused on grips and recoil-management accessories for sporting and shooting use. That background is directly relevant to the D752B, which reflects the company’s long-standing emphasis on practical fit, traditional styling, and reduced felt recoil.
