Meprolight Tru-Dot for Sig Sauer 9mm & 357, Front Sight Only

• Self-illuminated tritium front sight: The green tritium insert stays visible in low light and darkness without batteries, giving a clear front reference when ambient light is poor.
• Front-sight-only configuration: This model is intended for shooters who need to replace a worn or damaged front unit without changing the full sight set.
• Fixed steel construction: The steel body provides the durability needed for everyday carry, duty use, and repeated holstering while keeping the sight picture consistent.
• Tru-Dot sight concept: As part of the Tru-Dot family, this sight is built around a simple, fast-to-read aiming reference that supports quick alignment under stress.
• Made for Sig Sauer 9mm & .357 pistols: Model-specific fit helps maintain proper installation geometry on compatible handguns, which matters for dependable point-of-aim consistency.

About the Meprolight Tru-Dot Series

Meprolight Tru-Dot is the company’s established line of self-illuminated handgun sights, built for shooters who want a sight picture that remains usable from bright daylight into low-light conditions. In Meprolight’s current handgun range, the series includes fixed, adjustable, and suppressor-height versions, covering everything from standard carry pistols to more specialized setups. The core idea is straightforward: a three-dot aiming layout that stays familiar across lighting conditions, so the shooter does not need to adapt to a different visual reference as the environment changes.

The series uses tritium illumination to provide a visible aiming reference at night without relying on batteries or external charging. That makes Tru-Dot sights especially relevant for defensive handguns, service pistols, and general-purpose carry guns where simplicity and readiness matter more than extra controls. The family also spans models for numerous handgun brands, and selected versions are offered with different dot color combinations. Across the range, the design philosophy stays practical: direct-replacement pistol sights with a durable build, a consistent sight picture, and low-light capability that does not add operating steps.

About the Meprolight Tru-Dot for Sig Sauer 9mm & 357, Front Sight Only

The Meprolight Tru-Dot for Sig Sauer 9mm & 357, Front Sight Only is a dedicated front tritium night sight for compatible Sig Sauer pistols chambered in 9mm and .357. Its role is simple but important: it gives the shooter a clear, always-available front aiming point, which is the part of the sight picture the eye naturally uses to confirm alignment. In practical terms, that makes the sight easier to pick up in dim interiors, at dusk, or in other reduced-light situations where a plain black front blade can disappear.

The sight uses a green tritium insert and a fixed design, so there are no batteries to manage and no adjustment controls to snag or shift in normal use. That suits carry and duty handguns well, where reliability and a stable zero matter more than on-sight adjustability. The steel housing adds the toughness expected from a handgun front sight, helping it withstand holster wear, handling, and regular range use. Because this is a front-sight-only version, it is also a practical choice when the rear sight remains serviceable and only the front unit needs replacement. The result is a straightforward upgrade or spare part that keeps the pistol’s sighting system visible, durable, and ready for low-light use.
