Meprolight Tru-Dot for Ruger P90, 91, 93, 95

• Self-illuminated tritium sights: The Meprolight Tru-Dot system stays visible in low light and at night without batteries, giving the shooter a constant aiming reference for defensive, duty, or bedside use.
• Three-dot sight picture: The green 3-dot alignment is simple to read and familiar to many pistol shooters, helping speed up front-sight acquisition and making transitions from daylight to dim conditions more natural.
• Fixed steel construction: A steel sight body with a fixed configuration keeps the setup durable and stable on the slide, which matters for a carry or service pistol that sees regular holster wear and repeated recoil.
• Square rear sight: The square rear notch supports a clear sight picture and a defined front-sight reference, making it easier to center the front dot quickly when shooting at practical handgun distances.
• Ruger-specific fit: Built for Ruger P90, P91, P93, and P95 pistols, this sight set is made as a direct replacement for factory sights, simplifying the upgrade to a tritium night-sight system.

About the Meprolight Tru-Dot Series

Meprolight Tru-Dot sights are a long-running handgun sight family built around a simple idea: provide a consistent three-dot sight picture that remains usable in both daylight and low-light conditions. In Meprolight’s handgun lineup, the series covers a broad range of fixed, adjustable, and suppressor-height models, giving shooters options for service pistols, defensive handguns, and specialized setups. The common thread across the range is the use of tritium illumination, which creates a visible aiming reference at night without relying on batteries or external charging.

That makes the Tru-Dot series especially relevant for pistols carried for defense, law-enforcement use, or general range practice where lighting conditions can change quickly. The design philosophy is straightforward and practical: replace factory sights with a more visible system while keeping the handling of the handgun familiar. Across the series, Meprolight also offers different configurations for specific pistol platforms and, on selected models, different tritium dot color combinations. The result is a family of self-illuminated handgun night sights that emphasizes fast alignment, durable construction, and a sight picture that does not change when ambient light drops.

About the Meprolight Tru-Dot for Ruger P90, 91, 93, 95

The Meprolight Tru-Dot for Ruger P90, P91, P93, and P95 is a dedicated tritium night sight set for Ruger’s P-series pistols. Its main advantage is not complexity, but consistency: the shooter gets the same three-dot reference in bright light, indoor light, and near-dark conditions. For a defensive or duty handgun, that matters because the sight picture remains familiar when visibility becomes the limiting factor.

This model uses a fixed sight arrangement, which suits shooters who want a rugged, low-maintenance setup rather than an adjustable competition-style system. The fixed design helps keep the sights stable under recoil and everyday handling, while the steel construction adds the durability expected from a carry or service-oriented handgun upgrade. The square rear sight works with the front dot to give a clear, conventional alignment picture, supporting quick sight indexing at typical pistol distances.

Because this version is made specifically for the Ruger P90, P91, P93, and P95, it is intended as a direct replacement for the original sights on those pistols. The green tritium dots provide a clear low-light reference without switches, batteries, or brightness settings, which keeps operation simple under stress. For owners of Ruger P-series handguns who want a practical upgrade for low-light shooting, this Tru-Dot set focuses on visibility, familiarity, and mechanical durability rather than added bulk or electronic complexity.

About Meprolight

Meprolight was founded in 1990 as a supplier of sights and battle optics to the Israel Defense Forces. Based in Or Akiva, Israel, the company is a division of SK Group and develops and manufactures optical and electro-optical sighting systems for military, law-enforcement, and civilian markets. Its product range covers conventional sights, tritium night sights, reflex optics, magnified optics, magnifiers, night-vision systems, and thermal devices.

That background is especially relevant to handgun sights such as the Tru-Dot series. Meprolight’s experience spans sighting systems for pistols, rifles, shotguns, and carbines, with a strong emphasis on practical aiming solutions that remain usable in demanding conditions. In the pistol-sight category, the brand is particularly well known for self-illuminated tritium designs that prioritize simple alignment, durability, and dependable low-light visibility.
