Meprolight Tru-Dot for Para LDA (Post 2007)

• Self-illuminated tritium system: the sight picture stays visible in low light and at night without batteries, so the pistol remains ready at any hour with no switches to manage.
• Three-dot alignment: the familiar 3-dot layout helps the eye center the front sight quickly, making it easier to confirm alignment under stress or in reduced light.
• Fixed steel construction: a steel sight set resists daily carry wear and hard use while keeping a stable zero once installed on the slide.
• Square rear sight: the square rear notch gives a clean reference around the front dot, supporting faster sight acquisition and more precise alignment.
• Model-specific fit for Para LDA pistols: this version is made for Para LDA (Post 2007) handguns, giving owners a direct replacement night-sight set for that platform.

About the Meprolight Tru-Dot Series

Meprolight Tru-Dot is the company’s established family of self-illuminated handgun sights, built for shooters who want a simple sight picture that works in daylight, low light, and darkness without relying on batteries. Within the handgun range, the series includes fixed, adjustable, and suppressor-height variants, allowing the same core sighting concept to serve defensive carry pistols, duty handguns, and more specialized setups.

At the center of the series is the familiar three-dot aiming layout, paired with tritium illumination that remains visible when ambient light drops. That consistency matters in practical use because the shooter does not need to change technique between bright and dark conditions. The Tru-Dot line is also designed as a replacement for factory front and rear sights on compatible pistols, so it fits naturally into service, defensive, and everyday-carry roles. Across the series, the emphasis is on durable metal construction, straightforward alignment, and a sight picture that remains easy to read when speed matters more than complexity.

About the Meprolight Tru-Dot for Para LDA (Post 2007)

The Meprolight Tru-Dot for Para LDA (Post 2007) is a dedicated pistol night sight set for shooters who want a durable, always-on upgrade for a compatible Para LDA handgun. Its main advantage is practical rather than complicated: the sights provide a clear aiming reference in normal daylight, then continue to work when lighting conditions deteriorate, without electronics, charging, or battery replacement. For a defensive or carry pistol, that kind of constant readiness is often more useful than added complexity.

This model uses a self-illuminated tritium system with a 3-dot arrangement, helping the shooter pick up the front and rear relationship quickly when drawing or presenting the pistol. The familiar dot pattern reduces the learning curve for users already accustomed to conventional combat sights, while the tritium element keeps the dots visible in dim interiors, dusk, or nighttime conditions. A square rear sight supports a clean, uncluttered sight picture, making it easier to define the front sight and confirm alignment for deliberate shots.

The sight set is also built as a fixed steel unit, which suits a handgun intended for regular carry or duty use. Steel construction helps the sights stand up to holster wear and repeated handling, while the fixed configuration favors robustness and consistency over adjustment complexity. Finished in black, the set keeps glare and visual distraction to a minimum while preserving a straightforward, service-style appearance.

About Meprolight

Meprolight was founded in 1990 as a supplier of sights and battle optics to the Israel Defense Forces. Based in Or Akiva, Israel, and operating as a division of SK Group, the company develops and manufactures optical and electro-optical sighting systems for military, law-enforcement, and civilian users. Its experience spans conventional sights, tritium night sights, reflex optics, magnified optics, night-vision systems, and thermal devices.

That background is especially relevant in the handgun-sight category, where Meprolight is known for practical, duty-oriented designs that prioritize visibility, durability, and straightforward handling. The company’s catalog covers sighting systems for pistols, rifles, shotguns, and carbines, reflecting a broad focus on small-arms aiming solutions rather than a single niche. For products such as the Tru-Dot series, that translates into robust construction and low-light capability shaped by service use as well as civilian defensive applications.
