Meprolight Tru-Dot for CZ 75, 75D, 83, 85

• Self-Illuminated Tritium: The tritium inserts stay visible in low light and darkness without batteries, so the sight picture is always available for defensive carry, duty use, or range work.
• Three-Dot Alignment: The green 3-dot layout gives a familiar reference that is easy to pick up quickly, helping faster sight alignment when lighting conditions change.
• Steel Construction: The steel body stands up to regular holster use and slide cycling better than softer materials, making it a durable upgrade for a working pistol.
• Fixed Sight Setup: A fixed front and rear arrangement keeps the system simple and robust, with fewer parts to shift out of position during everyday use.
• CZ-Specific Fit: Built for CZ 75, 75D, 83, and 85 pistols, this sight set is made as a direct replacement style upgrade for shooters who want dependable night sights on these platforms.

About the Meprolight Tru-Dot Series

The Meprolight Tru-Dot series is Meprolight’s established family of self-illuminated handgun sights for shooters who want a simple aiming reference that works in daylight, low light, and darkness. In the current handgun lineup, the series includes fixed, adjustable, and suppressor-height sights, giving it a broad role across defensive pistols, service handguns, and practical shooting setups. Rather than relying on batteries or electronic controls, Tru-Dot sights use tritium illumination to keep the dots visible at all times, which suits users who prefer a sighting system that is always ready.

Across the range, the design philosophy is straightforward: replace the factory front and rear sights with a more visible set that preserves a familiar iron-sight presentation. The series is offered for handguns from multiple manufacturers, and selected models use different tritium dot color combinations to suit user preference. A defining characteristic of the line is its three-dot sight picture, intended to remain consistent from bright conditions into nighttime use. That consistency makes the Tru-Dot family especially relevant for defensive carry and duty pistols, where sight visibility matters but mechanical simplicity remains a priority.

About the Meprolight Tru-Dot for CZ 75, 75D, 83, 85

The Meprolight Tru-Dot for CZ 75, 75D, 83, and 85 is a dedicated tritium night sight set for classic CZ pistol platforms that benefit from a clearer iron-sight picture in reduced light. Its main advantage is not complexity, but readiness: the tritium lamps are self-illuminated, so the sights remain visible without switches, charging, or battery management. For a defensive or service-style handgun, that matters because the sight picture stays available whenever the pistol is drawn.

The sight set uses a green 3-dot alignment, a familiar format that helps the eye index the front and rear quickly. In practical terms, this makes transitions between daylight and dim indoor or nighttime conditions more natural than with plain black sights. The square rear sight gives a conventional notch picture that many shooters already know from factory-style irons, so the upgrade does not require relearning the presentation.

Its fixed adjustment design favors durability and stability over user-adjustable controls, which suits everyday carry, duty holsters, and general range use. Combined with a steel housing, the set is built to handle repeated slide movement and regular handling better than lighter-duty sight materials. For CZ owners who want a robust iron-sight upgrade with dependable low-light visibility, this model keeps the pistol simple, familiar, and ready for use around the clock.

About Meprolight

Meprolight was founded in 1990 as a supplier of sights and battle optics to the Israel Defense Forces. Based in Or Akiva, Israel, the company develops and manufactures optical and electro-optical sighting systems for military, law-enforcement, and civilian users. Its catalog spans conventional sights, tritium night sights, reflex optics, thermal sights, magnified optics, magnifiers, and night-vision systems.

That background is especially relevant in the handgun-sight category, where Meprolight has long focused on durable, practical aiming systems for pistols, rifles, shotguns, and carbines. The company is a division of SK Group, and its product range reflects a strong emphasis on service-oriented sighting equipment rather than purely sporting accessories. For products such as the Tru-Dot series, Meprolight’s reputation rests on combining self-illuminated tritium technology with straightforward mechanical designs that remain usable under demanding field conditions.
