MAKlassic Pivot upper parts, Steyr Scout, 36 mm

• Pivot upper assembly for Steyr Scout bases: built for the Steyr Scout platform and intended for dovetail-type pivot bases, giving a model-specific fit that helps keep scope alignment consistent.
• 36 mm scope interface: accepts riflescopes with a 36 mm tube, making it suitable for larger premium optics while maintaining the secure hold expected from a steel pivot mount.
• Adjustable windage: lateral adjustment in the mount helps center the optic mechanically, which can preserve more internal scope adjustment for zeroing and longer-distance shooting.
• Steel construction: the steel body adds rigidity and wear resistance in the locking surfaces, an important advantage for repeatable mounting on hunting rifles and hard-used field setups.
• Low 14.00 mm build height: the restrained height helps keep the optic closer to the bore for a more natural cheek weld and a balanced rifle profile.

About the MAKlassic Series

MAKlassic is MAK’s traditional two-piece pivot-mount series, documented in the company catalogue by 2019 and built around the needs of hunters who want a removable scope mount with a clean rifle profile. The series is designed for rifles and break-action firearms where a pivot system remains a practical choice: the optic can be removed when needed, then returned to the rifle with the same mounting geometry.

Within the range, MAKlassic mounts are offered in versions with rotating locks and lever locks, as well as in configurations for both scope tubes and optic rails. The series also includes different mount heights and front-foot offsets, allowing the setup to be matched to rifle shape, objective clearance and shooting position. A defining trait of the line is its model-specific approach: MAK catalogues list variants configured for particular rifle models, which suits shooters who want a mount tailored to the firearm rather than a one-pattern solution.

About the MAKlassic Pivot upper parts, Steyr Scout, 36 mm

The MAKlassic Pivot upper parts, Steyr Scout, 36 mm are the upper assembly of a pivot-mount system intended for a Steyr Scout rifle using dovetail-type pivot bases. This configuration is aimed at shooters who want the handling advantages of a scout-style rifle but prefer a conventionally mounted riflescope in a detachable setup. Because the upper parts are matched to a 36 mm tube, they are suited to larger-body optics that often offer a broader adjustment range or more robust internal construction.

The mount uses a steel body with a black finish, a combination chosen for strength in the clamping and pivot interfaces rather than for minimum weight alone. In practical use, steel helps the contact surfaces resist wear over repeated mounting cycles, which matters on a pivot design where repeatability is central to confidence in the system. The specified 14.00 mm BH height and 32.00 mm H height keep the optic installation disciplined and predictable, helping maintain sensible scope position and rifle balance.

This version has 0 MOA inclination, making it a straightforward choice for general hunting and field shooting where a neutral mounting angle is preferred. The presence of adjustable windage is especially useful in setup: it allows the optic to be aligned more precisely with the rifle, reducing the need to use excessive internal windage correction in the scope. For shooters building a practical hunting optics setup on a Steyr Scout, that means cleaner zeroing and better use of the riflescope’s available adjustment range.
