MAKlassic 2 piece Pivot Mount, Rotation lock, Santa Barbara Repetierer, 26.0 mm

• Two-piece pivot design: Separates the mounting points to suit classic rifle actions while keeping the scope securely aligned and easy to remove when needed.
• Rotation lock system: Locks the mount into position with repeatable engagement, helping maintain zero after the optic is detached and reinstalled.
• Steel construction: Provides the rigidity and wear resistance needed for long-term use on hunting rifles with repeated recoil and field handling.
• 26.0 mm ring format: Fits traditional 26 mm scope tubes, making it a practical choice for classic European optics and period-correct rifle setups.
• Model-specific fit for Santa Barbara Mauser-type actions: Built for the geometry of compatible rifles, which simplifies installation and supports stable, consistent scope positioning.

About the MAKlassic Series

MAKlassic is MAK’s traditional line of two-piece pivot mounts for rifles and break-action firearms. The series was already documented in 2019 and is built around the needs of shooters who want a removable mounting system with the look and handling of a classic hunting rifle. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all layout, the series includes model-specific configurations for different rifle actions, along with different mount heights and front-foot offsets to suit the rifle and optic combination.

A defining characteristic of the series is its focus on mechanical fit and repeatable positioning. MAKlassic mounts are offered with rotating locks or lever locks, and the range includes versions for both scope tubes and optic rails. That makes the series relevant for hunters using traditional European scopes as well as those fitting more modern optics to established rifle platforms. In practice, MAKlassic sits in the part of the lineup that favors classic form, secure lock-up, and rifle-specific geometry over universal mounting solutions.

About the MAKlassic 2 piece Pivot Mount, Rotation lock, Santa Barbara Repetierer, 26.0 mm

This MAKlassic 2 piece Pivot Mount is configured for the Santa Barbara Repetierer pattern and is intended for shooters who want a traditional detachable scope mount without giving up mechanical stability. Its two-piece layout suits classic bolt-action rifles well, preserving the character of the rifle while providing a solid interface for a telescopic sight.

The mount uses a rotation lock system, which is especially valuable on a hunting rifle that may be carried with the optic removed, transported separately, or switched between iron-sight and scoped use. A properly repeatable pivot mount helps the shooter return the scope to the rifle with consistent positioning, reducing the need for frequent re-zeroing. That practical advantage is one of the main reasons this style remains popular on traditional sporting rifles.

Its steel construction supports long service life and dependable lock-up under recoil, while the 26.0 mm ring format makes it suitable for scopes with a 26 mm tube. This is particularly relevant for classic European optics and for rifle builds where maintaining a period-correct appearance matters as much as secure function. For owners of compatible Mauser-pattern rifles, this mount offers a combination of traditional handling, durable materials, and a rifle-specific fit that suits hunting use well.
