Lockdown Compact Keyd Handgun Vault

• Compact steel construction: The reinforced steel housing gives this handgun vault the rigidity needed for secure storage while keeping the overall size easy to place in a drawer, vehicle compartment, bag, or travel setup.
• Keyed lock system: A keyed design keeps operation simple and dependable, making it a practical choice for users who prefer a straightforward mechanical lock with no batteries or electronics to manage.
• Portable handgun storage: Its compact format is suited to moving between home, range, and travel use, so a pistol can stay protected without requiring a large permanent safe.
• TSA-compliant travel format: Meeting TSA airline requirements makes the vault useful for lawful transport scenarios where a locked handgun case is required.
• DOJ-approved design: California Department of Justice approval adds reassurance that the vault is built to a recognized standard for handgun security and compliant storage use.

About the Lockdown Accessories Series

Lockdown Accessories covers a broad range of products built for firearm vaults, safes, and storage areas, with an emphasis on practical organization, lighting, and environmental control. Rather than focusing on one single type of storage solution, the series brings together the smaller supporting products that make a gun room, cabinet, or safe easier to manage day to day. That includes lighting systems for better visibility, moisture-control products for long-term firearm protection, and monitoring tools that help maintain stable storage conditions.

Within the range, humidity management is a major theme, with products such as silica gel, dehumidifier rods, automatic dehumidifiers, and hygrometers designed to reduce the risk of rust and corrosion. Other accessories improve access and visibility inside enclosed storage spaces, which matters when firearms and gear need to be stored securely but still reached efficiently. In that context, the series is aimed at owners who want a more complete storage setup rather than a bare safe interior. The overall design philosophy is straightforward and utility-driven: compact products, simple installation, and features that support secure, organized firearm storage in real-world use.

About the Lockdown Compact Keyd Handgun Vault

The Lockdown Compact Keyd Handgun Vault is a compact pistol safe intended for users who need a simple, portable way to secure a handgun at home or while traveling. Its steel housing provides the strength expected from a dedicated handgun vault, while the smaller footprint makes it easier to fit into places where a full-size safe would be impractical. That makes it well suited to bedside storage, vehicle transport where legally permitted, or discreet placement inside luggage or a larger bag.

What sets this model apart is its combination of compact dimensions and a key-lock securement system. A keyed lock appeals to users who want a purely mechanical solution with no keypad, electronics, or battery dependence. In practice, that means consistent operation and straightforward access for owners who prefer to keep security simple. The compact format also helps reduce wasted space when the vault is used for a single handgun rather than a larger firearm collection.

Lockdown also builds this vault with travel and compliance in mind. It meets TSA airline requirements and is approved by the California Department of Justice, which adds practical value for lawful transport and regulated storage situations. With 19-gauge walls and additional 16-gauge side and bottom reinforcement, the design focuses on giving a portable handgun vault more structural strength where it matters most. The result is a handgun storage solution that balances portability, basic mechanical access, and dependable physical protection.
